30 was....good!

The older I get, the more i realize my relationship with birthdays changes. I'm starting to feel a bit more reflective each year and I feel like I have more long-term goals on my mind as each year passes.

"Did I get as much done as I would've liked?"
"Am I doing enough?"
"What could I be doing better?"

I'm far from perfect, but I often find myself telling others that "When you focus on the small wins, they turn into big wins."

30 was the embodiment of that advice. I won a 140+ player Yu-Gi-Oh tournament with a deck no one thought could win anything. I got to see New Orleans, San Antonio, Sarasota, Toronto and more. I got hired at a senior level position doing a job I love for a place that I love. I've learned more about myself as a content creator, as a friend, and as a man. I loved my friends and family and I was loved by them. All of these things, big and small, made my year incredible.

I'm doing my best. If we've ever been friends, I think of you often. My life is the best and I'm so thankful I can share it with you all 🙏🏾❤️

I'm claiming greatness for 31, and I appreciate you all for being on this journey with me. by @mr.c.note

I recently picked up a @kodak Charmera and I've been enjoying photography.

It's incredibly easy to use, and just so much fun to take on a walk and capture daily life.

All photos are out of the camera as-is. No editing or cropping.

144 yugioh players came to Rochester for a regional qualifier. After 8 rounds, I was crowned champion. Usually I do commentary for these tournaments, but today I decided to play.

1st place, 7-1 record with Monarch.

Put some respect on Rochester Yugioh 💯

My best friends got married and EVERYONE was there.

It's been a blessing to see their love blossom from the start and I had the honor of being the best man for the wedding.

Today, I turn 30 and I'm feeling grateful. Year 29 had its ups and downs, but every challenge taught me something and pushed me closer to the man want to be. I'm learning, growing, and proud of the person I'm becoming.

l've built a career with a great organization, I'm surrounded by amazing friends and family, and get to do life with people who make it impossible for me to fail. I'm smart, I'm funny, I'm talented but most importantly, I'm blessed.

"If life was a day, it'd be 10:30. Find out what's for lunch." And think that's the perfect way to look at 30. It's not the end, but just getting to the good part.

Here's to 30 and everything ahead. If you love me, let me know. ❤️ by @mr.c.note
