Had a great time at the Zhujiajiao Water Town, in the outskirts of Shanghai. Origionally built about 1,700 years ago, there have been archaeological findings that date back 5,000. Featuring 36 stone bridges and numerous rivers, and many ancient buildings line the riverbanks today. *Swype for shenanigans* Went to watch Spider-Man Brand New Day but it seems like Japan likes their live action movies dubbed...so we choose The Michael Jackson Biopic instead. Altho I took rewatched reruns of cartoons and power rangers as a kid my go to was the Thriller VHS with behind the scenes making of, I probably watched and rewinded that tape hundreds of times as a kid, it was defenetly my all-time favorite. I don't know why there were lots of negative reviews form critics, of couser they glossed over the abuse he received and didn't get into outlandish false allegations (because he was proven innocent and the movie ends before that era.) Despite being a bit slow in the begining the actors all did phenomal. Especially Juliano Krue Valdi who played him as a young child and his nephew Jaafar Jackson who did incredible, jaw dropping jobs singing, dancing, doing the spoken voices and getting all the mannerisms right. Especially for being non established inexperienced actors at their first major role. 11/10 acting. 9/10 movie. (Also is it normal for japanese theaters do not turn the lights on untill all the credits are finished rolling...it was awkward sitting there atleast they played epic music during the credits. #Love #DateNight #Movie #MichaelJackson 滑動看惡作劇 本來想去看《蜘蛛人：嶄新之日》，但好像日本比較喜歡把真人電影配成日語配音……所以我們改看《麥可傑克森》傳記片。 雖然我小時候也重看過很多卡通和《金剛戰士》，但我最常看的還是那卷《Thriller》錄影帶，後面還有幕後花絮。我大概把那卷帶子倒帶重看了幾百次，絕對是我童年最喜歡的片子。 不知道為什麼評論家給了很多負評，當然他們幾乎沒提到他受到的虐待，也沒去碰那些誇張的不實指控（因為他後來被證明是清白的，而且電影在那個時期之前就結束了）。 雖然開頭有點慢，但所有演員都表現得非常出色。特別是飾演幼年時期的 Juliano Krue Valdi，以及他的姪子 Jaafar Jackson，他們在唱歌、跳舞、對白和各種神情動作上都做得令人驚豔、下巴都掉了。尤其他們都是第一次演這麼大的角色、還沒有什麼經驗的演員。 演技 11/10，電影 9/10。 （另外，日本電影院是不是都要等到片尾字幕全部播完才會開燈啊……坐在那裡有點尷尬，至少他們在片尾還有播史詩感的音樂。）#愛 スワイプで悪戯を 『スパイダーマン：ブランド・ニュー・デイ』を観に行こうとしたんだけど、日本では実写映画を吹き替えで上映するのが好きみたい……なので代わりにマイケル・ジャクソンの伝記映画を観ることにした。 子供の頃はアニメや『パワーレンジャー』の再放送もよく観てたけど、一番繰り返し観たのは『スリラー』のVHS（メイキング映像付き）だった。何百回も巻き戻して観たと思う。間違いなく子供の頃のオールタイムフェイバリット。 批評家のレビューがなぜかネガティブなものが多いのは不思議。もちろん彼が受けた虐待についてはほとんど触れず、あのとんでもない虚偽の告発にも踏み込んでいない（彼は無実が証明されているし、映画はその時代の前で終わっているから）。 序盤は少しゆっくりめだったけど、役者たちはみんな素晴らしかった。特に幼少期を演じたジュリアーノ・クルー・ヴァルディと、甥のジャーファー・ジャクソンは、歌、ダンス、セリフ、しぐさのすべてが本当に凄くて、顎が落ちるほど。しかも二人ともまだ実績の少ない、初の大役の役者なのに。 演技11/10、映画9/10。 （あと、日本 taken in Mozo Wonder City Aeon Cinema by @mr.magi

Summer festival Part I (not day 1) Going to my first Japanese Natsu Matsuri (summer festival), at the legendary Nagoya Castle! 🏯 Excited to attend the festival and get a taste of authentic Japanese culture. Commissioned in Edo Period 1610 by the shogunate founder Tokugawa Ieyasu, completed by 1615 as the seat of the powerful Owari branch of the Tokugawa family. The massive compound was origionally built to project power and guard against western forces. 🎎 Owari shogunate seat: It became the home of his 9th son Yoshinao and serves as the political hub. The roof was adorned with famous golden shachihoko (mythical tiger-fish ornaments). 🐉🍤🐯🎏 The castle and grounds were official managed under Nagoya city in 1930. Summer festival Part II Going to my first Japanese Natsu Matsuri (summer festival), at the legendary Nagoya Castle 🏯 with my cute-o waifu Yuri-chan. The highlight of the night was unexpectedly walking right into a traditional 盆踊り (Bon Odori). For the uninitiated, it’s this, communal performance where everyone in the crowd joins in and synchronizes their dance steps in a giant circle. This time 大沢桃子 (Momoko Osawa) AKA Momo-chan—a traditional 演歌 enka singer (classical stage performance singer) took the stage to perform an encore of "金の鯱さん" (Kin no Shachi-san). Her signature anthem for Nagoya, sung in the Nagoya dialect (Nagoya-ben / 名古屋弁) or Owari dialect, is a unique form of Japanese spoken in Western Achi prefatature with it's distance "Cat sound". 🐈‍⬛🐈The song is about Nagoya, the castle itself, and its famous Golden Shachihoko🐯🎏🐉🍤, the legendary, mythical guardian beasts with the head of a tiger and the body of a dragon-like fish.
