I started wrestling in 7th grade with a gap year for covid in 8th grade and joined the Whitney team my freshman year. Every year since then I get to watch as the captains and leaders of the team give their last words to the team and I can’t believe it’s my time to do the same. I’ve been extremely blessed to go on this journey with my best friends and brothers and I’m grateful for the experiences I got out of it. My goal throughout my highschool career has been to do big things and make an impact on the Whitney Wrestling program and culture. I believe that with the help of my friend’s family and coaches that I’ve been able to do that.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to our coaches for the time and dedication you have given to the team. You have all been super impactful on me and my peers and that does not go unnoticed.

Thank you to Coach Enoc for the times you pushed me during practice and for being my good luck charm during the postseason.

Thank you to Coach Ardito for making practice fun and light-hearted when I was cutting weight or out of it that day.

Thank you to Coach Dean for being someone I can rely on for advice and for being so easy to talk to.
I want to thank Coach Ryan for giving me a unique perspective on wrestling and making my last Whitney season so memorable.

Thank you to Coach Parker for your radiating positivity and joy-filled practices. You are like the father of the team and you help keep everyone a family.
And last but not least thank you to Coach Perez. Thank you for the opportunity to do what I love and travel across the state doing it. Thank you for the trips I’ve been on and for always believing in me. Since the first time I met you till now, I like to think I’ve grown a lot as a person and I thank you for that. Your work ethic and determination will be something I take with me as I move to my next chapter in life.
