More oc stuffs… i’ve been slowly writing out a simple first draft/outline of their story and i’m having very much fun :] hopefully one day i can draw it all out in a comic and post it somewhere!!

I wanna start doodling mini comics & making short animations with them bc those are like little treats to keep me motivated😭 (+ maybe they’ll get other ppl interested in them too, that’s probably important lol) by @mr.selms

Working on ideas for my capstone film!! My sophomore film should be out on yt in the next few weeks & my junior film will be locked behind bars for at least another year for festivals BUT HERE’S FUN STUFF IN THE MEANTIME

I want to lean into themes of kindness being able to defy fate & reshaping rules which seem unbreakable in the service of care and love (hmm i wonder which inspirations im leaning on for this LOL HMMM)

Rn gonna try to have a little kid MC saving their dying guardian who is a unicorn bc i say so. its gonna be in some lala fantasy setting because i also say so and i get to do whatever i want by @mr.selms

TRANSGENDER RAMBLING INCOMING!!
trans people this is mainly for you, i’d love to hear about your guys’ thoughts & experiences abt some things i’ve been thinking about ^^

Gender is weird!!! I’d always thought abt adding he/him into the mix for me, but it always either never felt right in the moment or I pushed it off to think about later. I guess top surgery finally made it click for me- I’ve always identified aa transmasc & I was on T for two years (+abt to go on it again) but it finally feels right rn!

I think part of me might’ve felt deep down like I wasn’t allowed to use those pronouns if I didn’t fit the part, which is WRONG AND NOT TRUE but the part of my brain that overthinks doesn’t try to use logic🤷 sometimes using exclusively they/them felt like a sheild so I didn’t have to deal with cis ppl defaulting to using “they” regardless of what pronouns I want to use 🤷🤷🤷 part of me is still scared I’ll end up wanting to take it back and only go by they again, but when I think about it more! I remember IT DOESN’T MATTER! I CAN CHANGE MY PRONOUNS AS MANY TIMES AS I WANT AND IT LITERALLY DOESNT MATTER‼️I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT‼️ ‼️‼️‼️‼️

I don’t want to let my worries about how cis people will misgender me, or about how I might change my mind, stop me from fully expressing myself. If these things happen, that’s okay! It doesn’t change me or my identity. I’m gonna repeat this as much as I need to until I feel like it’s 100% true LOL

BABY SHAY AND HER DAD🥹 i’ve been trying hard to make myself focus on writing the story first & designing characters second, but i wasnt strong enough💔 in my head Shay was pretty shy as a little kid, and then her dad came into the picture! (Rn there are a lot of magic shenanigans in the lore abt where she came from)

Anyways they love each other very much and he helped her come out of her shell :] as a kid tho it still takes her a while to get used to new people by @mr.selms

LITTLE COMIC!! Names for everyone are still undecided & may change, but rn purple is Mar, green is Isidore, and brown (in the last two panels lol) is Malek

Once they all group up and begin the search for Shay’s dad, Shay and Mar take to each other preetty quickly- they start splitting off together when they get the chance, and both get big stupid obvious crushes on each other that they try to navigate. Isidore thinks he is being so subtle in prompting Mar about it (he is not💔💔💔)

I’m also thinking about moving Shay and Mar’s ages down to 17-18ish? I feel like it might make their group dynamic with Isidore and Malek make a bit more sense. I want Isidore and Malek to be pretty parental towards the two as they get closer, which feels kinda odd to do if they’re both 20. by @mr.selms

Time to drop some lore that’s still being actively changed YAYY!! I will also post this lore dump in saved story highlights which may be easier to read, but idk where more ppl will see it so it’s in this caption as well

This is Shay! She’s a 20 year old in a medieval world (might modernize the setting but idk yet) where people have almost entirely lost access to magic, to the point where it’s more of a myth- she’s one of the only people who still knows how to channel it!

Her dad was the one who taught her how to access magic, which to summarize is basically by finding your own personal flow state/ doing something you deeply enjoy. In doing this, you can communicate with the goddess of creation & access her powers. She and her dad have been practicing in secret since she was young, and even though she knows how to channel, there’s still lots of secrets that he’s kept from her about magic.

It comes to a head when, around the time she turns 20, he disappears, seemingly kidnapped- not knowing where else to start her search for him, she first goes back to his old stomping grounds to see if anyone might have clues. There, she meets the other 3 members of the main group! They all have their own connections to Shay’s father, and decide to help her in her search! They set off together to find him, and that’s where the main story begins :D

Also Shay has wings in this drawing bc right now, wings/birds/the sky have a big connection with the magic… there are also a lot of like. Sky races? In the version I have right now?? This whole story came to me after i watched Sk8 the Infinity and it changed my brain chemistry LMAOO- i didn’t mention it b4 because i might scrap this aspect! The magic rn is also heavily channeled through these little like. Sky surf board thingies with wings, but i’ll explore it more and see how much i feel like it fits in!! by @mr.selms

ITS DONE!!! Yes ive posted this once on this account already BUT ITS MY SPAM ACCOUNT I GRT TO DO WHAT I WANT!!! Here it is, 99.9% complete :D the only thing i might go back and add is color for the princess, but if i do that i’m not posting it again LMAO by @mr.selms
