The snare head BROKE 😳🤯🥁

In moments like this you get to display true preparedness! As a musician not only do you have to prepared for what is coming musically , but you also have to be prepared for the mishaps that are sure to come!

This video is a prime example of mishaps being inevitable! How would you have handled it?

ATTENTION ALL MUSICIANS 🚨

Let’s be clear about what I DIDNT SAY……
1. Musicians shouldn’t get props or credit
2. Musicians don’t deserve respect and recognition
3. All musicians are bad people

Please don’t hear these things! Because it’s flat out NOT what I’m saying. What I’m saying is we should focus on the reasons why we offer someone respect. If it’s because of a tour or a record then I beg you to re evaluate! You should respect all and treat them well simply because you want to be treated that way in return.

Lastly I used diddy and Kelly as an example of us never really truly knowing who our musical “heroes” are and what they stand for. I didn’t mention them to condemn them !

Let’s talk in the comments if you disagree!!

Simple SOLO 🥁🙏🏽

I get called to play solos in Nashville but not every one of those gigs require me to play super difficult things . For example the chops I played were relatively simple and the people still enjoyed it . It fit the gig perfectly ! If you want help on how to do this hit the link in my bio!

Learn these 2 things ….

I’ve seen so many players get caught up on the gig by just going through the motions. Not watching the stage and not listening to what’s going on! You should be mentally tired after a gig due to active listening for an extended period of time . Great musicians don’t zone out!

Musicians can we stop doing this please? 😭

I’m always grateful for the work I get but we gotta work on this collectively! If I’m looking for someone to play for me or to cover an instrument I create a draft first THEN send the same message to all the people I need to ask . It saves a lot of time for EVERYONE!
