I am Mr. Blue Sky—my name drawn from the buoyant ELO tune and a nod to that echo chamber of leftist zealots, yet tinged with irony by the so-called “Blue Sky” visionary, the chairman of Disney Parks & Resorts, whose stewardship I find lacking to say the least. As an ardent connoisseur of music, cinema, and theme park exhilaration, I am compelled to emerge as a clarion voice for discernment amid today’s cultural fray. I denounce a vexing drift that troubles me and countless others: the erosion of excellence in our treasured entertainment. Since at least 2017—its roots perhaps deeper still—we have seen titans like Disney succumb to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) doctrines. To my mind, this shift has bartered narrative artistry for a hollow checklist, leaching vitality and authenticity from our films, series, and songs, thus fraying their communion with audiences. A resolute devotee of timeless storytelling and the sanctity of source material, I contend that narratives must bridge all divides to unite us. Diversity is essential—assuredly—yet it should enrich, not dictate, the tale. The time is ripe to defend creative sovereignty and insist upon entertainment that captivates while moored in its artistic core.
