Amid hardly few hours of sleep over the past three days, we faced one of the toughest challenges in a very short span of time. Mariners know the pressure and stress that come with SIRE 2.0, especially when the human competency element is under constant spotlight

Today was the D-Day — and we nailed it.
Proud of the bridge team for the commitment, teamwork, and professionalism shown throughout.

ആലുവയിലെ ഒരു ചായക്കടയിൽ
പുട്ടും കടലയും കഴിച്ചു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ,
“ജീവിതം സുഖമായിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന്
എന്റെ വയറും ഞാനും തീരുമാനിച്ചു.

ഭക്ഷണം കഴിഞ്ഞ് കൈകഴുകാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ—
അവിടെ നിന്നു ഒരു സന്നദ്ധചിരി...
വെളുത്ത വസ്ത്രം, ശാന്തമായ കണ്ണുകൾ,
അല്ലേ…ഒരു പുണ്യാളൻ തന്നെ!

ഞാനും ചിരിച്ചു,
പുണ്യാളനും ചിരിച്ചു—
ഒരു തെളിച്ചം ഇരു മുഖങ്ങളിലും.

അപ്പോൾ അതേ സ്വരത്തിൽ:
“മോൻ എവിടുത്തെയാണ് ? ഏത് കോളേജിലാ പഠിക്കുന്നേ ?”

അയ്യോ…
എന്റെ മനസ്സ് ആ നിമിഷം തന്നെ
U-turn എടുത്തു പതിനെട്ടാം വയസിലേയ്ക്ക്!

എന്നെ ഞാൻ തന്നെ പിടിച്ചണിയുന്ന പോലെ,

എന്റെ അകത്തെ ഞാന്‍:
“പുണ്യാളാ… എന്റെ പ്രായത്തെ ഇത്രയും underestimate cheythathinu നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞ്
ഒരു tight hug കൊടുത്തേ പറ്റൂ...”

പക്ഷേ ഞാൻ പുറത്തു:
“ഹഹ… അങ്ങനെയാണോ ഫാദർ… actually…” എന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞ്
വയസിന്റെ secret file hide ചെയ്യാൻ ശ്രമം.

തുടർന്ന് ചില സെക്കൻഡുകൾ സംസാരിച്ച് ഫാദർ നു ബൈപറഞ്ഞു...

അപ്പോഴാണ് ഞാൻ ഓർത്തത്. ..
