To the little girl who changed my life. My Shia girl, i will always fall short of words to describe what you mean to me. I want you to know that my love for you is immeasurable. You reminded me of what joy was when I lost it. The purpose you gave me from the moment you came into my life is something I would always hold onto. I pray you continue to ask dad for a “hug” until I physically can’t and even then please hug your dad. Regardless of where life takes you, always remember you are loved . How is it being a dad? .. being the first guy to have a kid from my inner circle, this is probably the most asked question and I know I’m only in the first quarter of this game but being a dad is special.. being a dad is being able to adapt/evolve. I tend to ask myself “Am I the best version of myself for my girls?” .. being a dad is to be your child’s “Protector”. Right or wrong.I need my girls to know Daddy got you,Always.. but one thing I learned from fatherhood and will be eternally grateful for is to slow down.. Shia and Robin remind me on a consistent basis is to “slow down”… Slowing down allows you to live a little, appreciate and love the smaller everyday things. I lean to think about future plans but when It becomes stressful my girls are right there to remind me. Everything I need is right in front of me..in all things if I can choose one word to describe the feeling of being a dad. I would have to say “Special”.
