Je suis très très heureux de vous annoncer que j’ai été sélectionné Highly Commended aux Rookies Awards 2026 dans la catégorie Rookie of the Year !

Honnêtement, être finaliste dans cette catégorie était déjà assez dingue pour moi. Vu le niveau des autres finalistes, je ne m’attendais vraiment pas à aller plus loin.

Alors recevoir cette distinction en plus, c’est vraiment une très belle surprise et une vraie fierté !!

Merci aux Rookies @therookiesco et aux juges pour cette reconnaissance, et surtout bravo à tous les finalistes et aux gagnants !

Un grand merci à @ensi.avignon ❤️ et à tous les intervenants qui m’ont accompagné et aidé à progresser cette année.

And here is my final post about my work on Wild Groove! 🎬🐻

This video features a few animation breakdowns from the shots I worked on during the production.

I mainly animated Winnie, our dancing bear, but I also had the opportunity to work on several shots featuring Michel, our hunter.

Both the rigging and animation were done directly in Blender.

I hope you’ll enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at the project!

Huge thanks to the entire team for their amazing work, and to the École des Nouvelles Images for giving us the opportunity to create a project like this in such a short amount of time.

I’m excited to share a look at the rig behind Winnie, the bear from “Wild Groove”, our latest student short film created at @ensi.avignon

I was responsible for rigging the characters and props directly in Blender, developing and adapting the rigs to meet the needs of the production.

This video showcases Winnie’s rig, highlighting some of the controls and features developed for the film.

Wild Groove 🐻

Comme il est de coutume, les étudiant·es de 4° année étaient amené·es à réaliser, en équipe, un film très court sur une thématique imposée. Cette année, le thème était “Petites danses du quotidien”. 💃🕺
Les lundis et vendredis des semaines à venir, on vous présente les rendus.

Et on commence fort avec une histoire d’ours dans le viseur d’un chasseur 🔫.

I’m super excited to share a glimpse of my work on « Young Driver, » our latest student short film from @ensi.avignon. The production lasted 6 weeks, during which we had to base our work on existing film scenes to create our own chase sequence!

On this project, I had the chance to work on the layout with @ema.parent . I also managed the animation and got quite involved with the rigs, doing some retakes and adaptations to ensure everything worked smoothly in our exports from Maya to Unreal Engine.

A huge thanks to the rest of the team who handled all the « visuals, » including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, FX, and rendering: @lilva.art , @jad00__art , @_mael.peron.

Hello, we’re really happy to finally share our latest short film with you, centered around a chase theme. It’s been a month and a half of technical challenges and learning. 🚗🚓

From modeling to animation all the way to the final render, this project came to life through a workflow combining Blender, Maya, and Unreal Engine.

Je suis très heureux de partager une bonne nouvelle :
mon projet “Stain of Honor” a été sélectionné comme finaliste international aux Rookie Awards 2025 🎉

C’est une belle reconnaissance pour plusieurs mois de travail, de recherches visuelles, d’animation, et de passion.
Un énorme merci à tous ceux qui m’ont soutenu jusqu’ici 🙏

Et voici enfin mon court-métrage d’une minute, réalisé durant ma troisième année à @ensi.avignon

Ce très court raconte l’histoire d’un agent d’entretien qui, pendant son service de nettoyage, tombe sur une tache tenace sur une armure de chevalier. Contre toute attente, l’armure s’anime et le provoque en duel, transformant sa routine en véritable chaos

Toute la production a été réalisée sur @blender.official, avec quelques animations FX 2D créées sur @callipeg.app
J’ai pris énormément de plaisir à explorer chaque étape du projet, de la préproduction au rendu final
Mon objectif : créer un rig facial et corporel à la fois expressif et maniable, tout en me challengeant avec l’animation d’un combat. C’était un vrai défi, mais aussi l’une des étapes que j’ai le plus appréciées — et j’espère que cela se ressent à l’écran

Le film est actuellement en compétition aux Rookie Awards 2025, dans la catégorie “Rookie of the Year – 3D Animation”

Voici les images les plus récentes de mon antagoniste, aka le chevalier, le deuxième personnage principal de mon film d’une minute !

Recouvert de boue et visiblement pas ravi qu’on le dérange, il risque de donner du fil à retordre à mon agent d’entretien…

Côté technique, j’ai suivi le même process que pour l’agent : Rigify pour le corps, avec pas mal d’ajustement à droite et à gauche pour les différentes parties de l’armure (et comme prévu, ça m’a pris une éternité mdrr). Là encore, rigify ma bien aider, surtout le faite de jongler rapidement entre mon RIG et mon Meta RIG.

Il y a encore des détails que j’aimerais améliorer, mais dans l’ensemble, il est presque prêt à semer le chaos dans le musée !
