Once you make your own pizza, there is no going backwards. I have a stone on the grill at about 550F, so while not true pizza oven hot, my pies are perfect in 5 minutes. As good as NYC style pizza gets! The crust is a vehicle for the toppings. It is ultra thin and crispy. If the tip of your slice bends and the cheese drips when you pick it up, you’re not enjoying pizza at its best.
Sorry, every chain out there, but what you call pizza is an insult. There are a few places making good pies, but they are $30 and soggy by the time they’re delivered. Make your own pizza! Spoil yourself forever #tompapa @tompapa by @mr_know_it_all_dc

Thanksgiving menu will be

The two pics that don’t look like food are taken of the front of two ovens. The one showing the glowing broiler element is my $270 countertop steam convection oven at home. The one below is the $10,000 oven at work. Both cook good food. If you love to cook, you need a steam convection oven and just don’t know it yet. It changes every meal for the better. There is a combi steam oven for every budget #cookingwithsteam by @mr_know_it_all_dc

We observe Memorial Day as solemnly as ever this year, having only a week ago experienced horrific violence perpetrated upon children again. The adults who could do something (our elected officials) , continue to do nothing about any aspect of gun acquiring, including mental health clearances. They claim to stand by their precious amendment in belief that we are safer armed, when all evidence proves otherwise. They don’t care about the amendment. They don’t care who lives or dies, as long as they rile enough people up to re-elect them.
VOTE THEM OUT. This is the real way to take America back! Vote out the lazy and incompetent who refuse to help people by @mr_know_it_all_dc

Soft shell crab sandwich. Encrusted in spiced potato chip bits, sautéed in butter. About the best tasting crab Maryland has to offer.
But it was NOT a true softie, it was ‘paper shell’ - a day or two into developing a hard shell.

California grown, organic long grain jasmine rice. The best rice to use in my arroz con pollo for one. The tomatoes are cooked but shown pre-mashed. Typical Puerto Rican seasonings are a punch in the face when you pull back the lid! Fragrant but not fiery. Sabroso! #goodfood #comidacriolla by @mr_know_it_all_dc
