I think we both get on each other's last nerve. 😂 I knew we weren't going to work well together when he thought he was taking the backhand side. Ummm... sir, I know you love looking cool with that one-handed backhand, but your forehand is way stronger. 🤣 We debated it for a good minute before he finally let it go.Then he rushed our warm-up while we were serving, and at that moment I knew... yeah, I was already over it. 😂All jokes aside, Brandon , you've grown so much as a player. It was stressful, frustrating, and honestly a lot of fun playing with you. Would I do it again? Hmmm... yeah, I would. Brothers argue, and we both share the same passion for this mentally demanding sport.Once I got home and finally laid down, I started replaying our matches in my head especially that last one. I couldn't stop laughing because all I could think about was what was going through your mind every time I yelled, "Get up there, Brandon!" 🤣 I know you were stressed and probably wondering what I was talking about, but thank you for trusting me.We definitely should've won the tournament. We let our emotions get the best of us in that first match, and it cost us. Still, 2nd place isn't too bad when you put two emotionally unstable men on the same team. 🤣❤️Love you, brother. Congratulations on finishing 2nd place at a Level 6 tournament! If I'm not mistaken, I believe we earned 315 ranking points, so that's something to be proud of. 🎾🏆Omg I look like a man in this picture ewww... 😩🤣Side note: This morning around 7:40 a.m., we almost got into it again. 😂 This fool only referred to me as his doubles partner, then had the nerve to post that ridiculous picture of us laying on the floor... and he knew better than to leave the audio in of me fussing at him about taking that damn pic, I was trying to get away. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣He's older than me, but somehow he's still my annoying little-big brother. 😩😂 He did edit the post after I fussed at him, but of course he can't remove the picture now. Yesterday, I had to block an organization I once respected dearly. Nearly two years ago, it felt like a safe space, but over time individuals has continuously promoted division, and what once felt welcoming no longer felt safe.I also went on a blocking spree, and I'll probably continue today. The truth is, not one person can honestly say I've personally wronged them. If you don't like me because I'm loud, dramatic, or simply unapologetically myself, that's your choice but that's not my burden to carry.At this point, I know who genuinely supports me and who doesn't. If you feel the need to follow the crowd or align yourself with people who have an issue with me, by all means, remove yourself. I have no interest in forcing connections that no longer serve either of us.Protecting my peace isn't personal it's necessary.I promise I'm getting back to tennis. At the end of the day, talent, discipline, and accomplishments will always outshine ego. Thank God for watching over me yesterday. What happened may seem minor, but it could have ended very differently.I dozed off twice while driving home after playing tennis. The first time, I rear-ended someone on the highway. After dealing with that situation, I got back on the road and dozed off again, hitting a curb and blowing out my tires.The reality is, I've been working extremely hard, and I probably should have stayed home and rested. Instead, I wanted to be supportive and enjoy myself for a little while.Yesterday was a reminder that no matter how much we want to push through, sometimes our bodies tell us it's time to slow down. I'm grateful that everyone involved is okay and that God was watching over me. Also it's not intentional if you don't see me a lot trust me I want to be out there playing tennis and living my best life but right now I'm dealing without... I definitely want a different job I hate not having my freedom.. I'm supposed to be off today but guess who has to go in?? Me... 🙏🏾❤️ by @mr_moore321

Being there for you during this difficult season was easy because one thing I know about my buddy is that he shows up for those he loves.You never let cancer define you. Instead, you showed all of us what courage, faith, and perseverance look like. Your journey has inspired so many people, and today we celebrate every victory with you.Congratulations, brother. Update on my brother, Coach Carlos 🎾💙First, thank you all: The love, donations, messages, and support have carried our family through some incredibly hard days.Carlos has been through a lot these past few weeks. After a serious infection during his last round of chemotherapy, his medical team made the decision not to proceed with a sixth round for now. His bone marrow has taken a major hit, but thankfully he is recovering. he’s feeling stronger, eating more, and has gained weight (from 106 to 112 lbs).The tumor has not significantly decreased in size yet, so the next step is a short but aggressive course of radiation, which he is scheduled to begin in the next week or week after next. Today he completed his simulation, which is an important step forward.At the same time, we are working to get Carlos evaluated at MD Anderson in Houston for a second opinion. Because his cancer is rare, we are going to explore additional specialized treatment options and potential clinical trials. UT Southwestern is also helping research targeted therapies and treatment.Carlos will be unable to work through at least the summer, and with this next phase comes ongoing medical and travel expenses as we coordinate care between Dallas and Houston.We are asking for continued support as we navigate this next chapter.If you are able to donate, thank you. Many of you know Carlos Cruz not just as a great tennis coach at Kiest Tennis Center, but as someone who has poured so much of himself into the Dallas tennis community. Carlos has mentored players, encouraged young athletes, and brought so much positivity to the courts over the years.Right now, my friend Carlos is facing the toughest match of his life.He is currently battling a rare cancer called Spindle Cell Sarcoma, and the road ahead will be a long one. Because of this, our community is coming together to support him the same way he has supported so many of us.🎾 Registration is $20 per playerAll proceeds will go toward helping Carlos during his fight.Carlos has always shown up for the tennis community now it’s our turn to show up for him.Unfortunately I won’t be able to make the event because I’m working nights now, but I already know this community will show up for my boy. Many of you know Carlos Cruz, a Dallas native and beloved coach who has spent years encouraging players, mentoring students, and bringing positivity to the courts across our community.Right now Carlos is facing the toughest match of his life.At just 29, he is in the middle of intensive chemotherapy at UT Southwestern after being diagnosed with a rare cancer called Spindle Cell Sarcoma. The good news is that it has not spread to his organs or bloodstream, but the treatment is extremely demanding and he cannot work during this time.As a tennis coach, Carlos’s income depended entirely on teaching lessons and classes.
