Filmmaker and Lil Chola Girl Creator Robert Banks Ramirez was a guest on The Mr OG Show twice! The second time he brought Lourdes Valtierra Dirden who was cast as "La Yolie" in the inaugural community table reading of Lil Chola Girl.
.
Lil Chola Girl is a dedication to East L.A... A Chicana Animated Series. A new original East LA Anime Universe inspired by community, ancestry and barrio resilience. Robert grew up in Estrada Courts of Boyle Heights, CA and talked about "Chola" as being a term of endearment--- "they were the people who held us together." We all have a Chola within us--- Celebrate our inner Chola ✨️ Stay tuned and follow @lilcholagirlofficial ✨️

What an honor to meet two mentors who lead with heart. So proud and grateful for this moment.

Music artists @rockypadilla and @georgesarahmusic — two incredible mentors who never forgot where they came from and now pour that same love back into young musicians like myself. Thank you both for the inspiration! 🙏

This weekend I played The Swan at the Chicanidad celebration at the East LA Library for Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month. Classical music and my culture go together, and I hope other Latinas see that the cello is for us too.

Thank you to everyone who came out and to my family for always believing in me.

My phone made a highlight collage on its own and I liked it, as it effectively captured some of our activities in the last month (except for the first 3 photos). So I thought I would share it! by @mr_og_show
