Life is a passage, not a prison; an unfolding, not a permanent definition of your existence. Never confuse the season you are experiencing with the place you are destined to occupy. You are only going through it; you ain’t staying put.

Some seasons are designed to introduce you to dimensions of yourself that comfort could never reveal. Some storms come not to destroy your destination but to dismantle the version of you that cannot survive the journey ahead.

The tragedy is not always in what you go through, but in the conclusions you draw about yourself while going through it. A temporary experience can become a permanent limitation when you mistake pain for identity, delay for denial, or uncertainty for the absence of a future.

Remember, a passage is not a residence, and a season is not an eternity.

You are permitted to hurt without becoming broken, to struggle without becoming defeated, and to lose your way without surrendering your destination.

So, whatever life has placed before you, experience it, learn from it, grow through it, but do not build your identity around it.

You are a traveller in this chapter, not a prisoner of its circumstances. Keep moving. Your story is still becoming. by @mr_ovie

You can't HATE it and expect to HAVE it.

You can't RESENT it and expect to RELEASE it.

You can't REJECT it and expect to RECEIVE it.

You can't DESPISE it and expect to DEVELOP it.

You can't BELITTLE it and expect to BUILD it.

You can't NEGLECT it and expect to NURTURE it.

You can't DISRESPECT it and expect to RETAIN it.

You can't DEVALUE it and expect it to DELIVER. by @mr_ovie

May your sacrifices never be in vain.

May every seed you have sown in love, service, loyalty, commitment, and obedience eventually speak for you. May the things you have endured in silence, the battles you have fought privately, and the moments when you gave even when it was inconvenient, never become wasted efforts.

May your presence never become irritating to the people you are called to bless. May familiarity never breed contempt, and may those who have become accustomed to your presence never lose sight of your value.

May you never have to leave before people realise what your presence meant. May your absence never be the thing that teaches them the value of what they had while you were there.

May your kindness not be mistaken for weakness, your patience for foolishness, or your availability for a lack of value. May your consistency never become something people feel entitled to.

May you never pour endlessly into places where your presence is continually diminished, and may you never become so familiar with people that you forget your own worth.

Above all, may your life continually produce fruits that justify your sacrifices. May your labour yield results, your loyalty be honoured, your service be remembered, and your presence remain a blessing to those who place value on you.

.... and the saints say AMEN!!! by @mr_ovie

Grateful for the highs and the lows…
For the moments that lifted me and the seasons that stretched me. Every experience has shaped me, refined me, and made me stronger.

Grateful for the privileges I did not earn, yet was graciously given…
For open doors, uncommon favour, and opportunities that aligned at the right time. I do not take any of it for granted.

Grateful for opportunities; both seized and missed…
Because even in the misses, there were lessons; and in the wins, there was growth. Each step has been part of a divine orchestration leading me forward.

Grateful for family, covenant relationships, destiny helpers, friends turned family.....
My anchor, my covering, my constant. The love, the support, the sacrifices, and the shared moments; these are treasures beyond measure.

Grateful for my spiritual covering…
For divine guidance, shepherding, correction, and impartation. For the grace that speaks over my life, the wisdom that directs my path, and the prayers that preserve my destiny. I am a product of impartation, and I do not take it lightly.

So when I look back at the journey; through every high, every low, every privilege, and every lesson - I see one constant reality: GOD'S HAND has never been absent and MERCY has never ceased.

And because my past and present are anchored in promiscuous grace and bias towards me, my future is secured in His promise that "He alone will perfect that which concerns me, for His mercy endures for ever.

Cheers to more purpose, deeper impact, and greater heights ahead.

Happy Birthday to Me!! by @mr_ovie

One of the greatest destroyers of destiny is not failure. It is offence. Offence is subtle. It rarely announces itself. It grows quietly whilst been fed by unmet expectations, misunderstood intentions, and wounded pride.

The paradox of this is that at the root of many offences is this dangerous confusion: Mistaking Privileges for Rights.

When you begin to treat what was GIVEN as what is OWED, gratitude dies. When gratitude dies, offence finds fertile ground and when offence matures, unforgiveness becomes its fruit and bitterness blossoms.

Most people are not offended because they were abused. They are offended because their expectation was not met. You expected recognition. You expected appreciation. You expected special consideration.

But here is the question: Was it a Right… or was it a Privilege?

Access is a privilege. Mentorship is a privilege. Trust is a privilege. Covering is a privilege. Recommendation is a privilege.

The day you start believing you deserve what was actually extended to you by Grace, you open the door to resentment and resentment, if not checked, becomes bitterness.

The silent poison here is unforgivenes. Oh! It does not hurt the offender first, it imprisons the offended. It distorts perception. It magnifies minor issues. It rewrites history to suit wounded pride. You begin to forget who lifted you, who defended you, who created room for you, who believed in you before others did.

Offence edits memory while Gratitude restores perspective. Gratitude is not passive, it must erupt. It must be intentional. It must be expressed. It must be guarded.

A grateful person is difficult to offend because they remember beginnings. They remember prayers. They remember seasons of obscurity.

Gratitude humbles the ego. Gratitude protects relationships. Gratitude sustains access. You cannot be deeply grateful and deeply bitter at the same time.

Never allow temporary emotion to make you dishonour permanent impact. The mature do not merely pursue opportunity, they protect the relationships that created it.

Offence isolates while Gratitude elevates. Choose wisely!!

THE FLIP SIDE OF PAIN

Every great destiny carries a chapter of discomfort. Every strong man or woman you admire has walked through fire. The difference is not that they avoided pain; it’s that they refused to waste it.

Pain is never pleasant, but it is never pointless. What tries to break you can also build you. What tries to wound you can also wake you. The same fire that burns can also refine.

Pain can either break you or build you. It can either make you bitter or make you better. It can either shrink your vision or stretch your capacity.

When life presses you, something is being extracted. When life stretches you, something is being enlarged. When life wounds you, something deeper is being awakened.

Pain is not your enemy, it is your instructor. It teaches discernment. It builds resilience. It sharpens focus.
It deepens compassion. It births authority.

The oil of strength is pressed out of olives.
The beauty of gold is revealed through fire.
The sharpest swords are forged in heat.

So when you go through pain, don’t waste it; cry if you must but rise. Feel it but don’t fold. Learn from it but don’t live in it.

Let it mature you.
Let it refine you.
Let it reposition you.

The flip side of pain is power.
The flip side of pain is growth.
The flip side of pain is purpose.

What hurt you can become the very thing that strengthens you. Pain is not the end of your story. It is the turning point.

Don’t waste your pain. Let it turn you into who you were born to become.

RIGHT IN FACT, WRONG IN TACT.

You can be fighting for your right and still be wrong because truth is not only about what you defend, but how you defend it.

Wisdom teaches that not every truth must be shouted, and not every right must be enforced. There is timing, there is tact, there is discretion. Knowing you are right is one thing; knowing how to be right without destroying peace, people, or purpose is another.

Tact is truth clothed in wisdom.
Discretion is strength under control.
Wisdom is the ability to win without wounding.

Some battles are lost not because the cause was wrong, but because the approach was reckless. Truth delivered without being tactful becomes brutality. Rights demanded without sensitivity become oppression. Even divine principles, when applied without discernment, can produce human damage.

Wisdom asks:
Is this the right time?
Is this the right tone?
Is this the right way?

Because maturity understands that confrontation is not always correction, and silence is not always weakness. There are moments when restraint speaks louder than argument, and moments when walking away preserves more honour than standing your ground.

Discretion knows what to say, what to withhold, and what to leave for another season. It understands that not everyone deserves access to your truth, and not every issue requires your response. Some truths need incubation, not confrontation.

You can be right and still lack wisdom.
You can have truth and still misuse it.
You can win the argument and lose the assignment.

The truly wise do not rush to prove a point because a right defended without truth becomes arrogance, and a battle won without wisdom becomes regret.

Being right is good.
Being wise is greater.

DON'T LET THEM BUILD THEIR NEST

It’s okay for birds to fly over your head, but it’s not alright for them to make a nest on your head.”

That simple line carries one of life’s deepest truths.

Negative thoughts, fear, insecurity, and pressure will always fly over your head....yes, they pass through everyone’s mind. You can’t stop every thought from showing up. You can’t block every moment of doubt. You can’t prevent every wave of emotion.

But what you must guard against is allowing those thoughts to settle.

A thought becomes a nest when you entertain it… repeat it… rehearse it… feed it… and let it define you.

A momentary worry becomes a mindset.
A passing fear becomes a limitation.
A temporary feeling becomes your identity.

That’s the NEST.

Greatness requires mental gatekeeping - the discipline to let thoughts pass without permitting them to take root.

So today, remind yourself:

- Let the thoughts fly, but don’t let them stay.
- Let the feelings rise, but don’t let them reign.
- Let the doubts pass, but don’t let them plant anything in you.

Protect your mind. Protect your peace. Protect your destiny, because you were never designed to walk around with nests of negativity on your head, you were designed to walk with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Let the birds fly. Just don’t let them build their nest!

THE TWISTS AND TURNS OF LIFE

Life rarely unfolds in straight lines. It moves in angles - unexpected, inconvenient, sometimes uncomfortable. The twists and turns aren’t interruptions to the journey; they are the journey.

We grow the most in the moments we never planned for. The detours that force us to rethink our assumptions. The abrupt changes that challenge our sense of control. The delays that quietly build skills we didn’t know we needed. What feels like chaos in real time often becomes clarity in hindsight.

Psychologists call this adaptive resilience - the mind’s ability to reorganize itself when life refuses to match our expectations.

Every twist demands adjustment. Every turn asks a new question; and with each shift, our internal architecture becomes a little stronger, a little wiser, a little more flexible.

The truth is, no one escapes the unpredictability of life. However, the people who navigate it best aren’t the ones with perfect plans, they are the ones who stay open, curious, and willing to reinterpret their situation.

Twists reveal character.
Turns reveal capacity.
Together, they shape a version of you that straight paths never could.

If you learn to pay attention, the twists and turns don’t just move you - they transform you.

Recently, I met someone I deeply admire after a long while. As expected, he spoke with his usual depth and clarity, touching different dimensions of life with uncommon wisdom. But one statement he made pierced me like a hot knife through butter. He looked at me and said, “Ovie, nobody fell or has fallen by my hand… I must enjoy mercy.” That was not just a sentence — it was a life law.

As I drove off, that statement echoed in my spirit with weight and intensity. “Nobody fell and has fallen by my hand… therefore I must enjoy mercy.” I began to reflect on how easily people become instruments of another’s downfall — knowingly or unknowingly and how dangerous and costly that posture is. His words opened my eyes to a deeper understanding of the spiritual economy of mercy.

Friends, hear this clearly: MERCY IS A SEED. Scripture affirms it emphatically:

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” (Matthew 5:7)

"There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you (James 2:13 NLT)

In the courts of life and destiny, it is your mercy account that determines your mercy experience. You cannot harvest what you never planted.

Therefore, make it a guiding principle never to be part of someone’s downfall. Don’t dig pits for people, because life has a way of letting the digger fall in first. Don’t rejoice at another’s failure, and don’t allow your words, silence, decisions, or actions to be the reason a person sinks. Choose lifting over sinking, covering over exposing, restoring over destroying.

Life is long. Seasons change. Tables turn and the same mercy we show others becomes the mercy that meets us in our own day of need.

If you don’t know how to appropriate mercy, you cannot be a candidate for mercy.

Reflecting on the Home Going of @pastorkech today, my heart is full and heavy in equal measure. Pastor Kech was, without question, one of the finest teachers of the Word I have ever heard, seen, or encountered - both from afar and up close. As I meditate on her transition, I find myself revisiting the turns and seasons that marked the last years of her earthly assignment.

I grew under her tutelage and leadership, and I knew Pastor Kech to be a woman who fiercely guarded the sanctity of the pulpit. She never handled ministry casually. She was known for her integrity, for her refusal to junket around, and for her unwavering commitment to honouring God with every platform she stood upon.

Every major renaissance faith-based ministry desired her presence, her voice, her revelation. Yet she remained positively critical and deeply discerning about the invitations she accepted. In truth, you could practically count how many churches Pastor Kech would minister in within an entire year. Her steps were measured; her appearances were intentional.

But in the last few years, something shifted - quietly, subtly, but undeniably. She began to honour more invitations, step into more pulpits, speak into more assemblies. And for a long time, I wondered what had changed. Why now? Why this sudden widening of her ministerial footprint?

Now it all makes sense....she saw this time coming.

She knew the weight of the moment heaven was counting down to. And like a faithful steward, she poured herself out with urgency, ensuring that the undiluted word of faith was preached - far and wide, pure and potent. The seed had to be sown into as many hearts as possible. The message had to travel. Destiny had to be fulfilled.

In hindsight, her increased visibility was not a shift in preference—it was a shift in assignment.

She ran with purpose.
She taught with conviction.
She lived with holiness.
And she finished with honour.

What a life.
What a legacy.
What a general of the faith. by @mr_ovie
