Darling dearest ,

I know you’re beautiful and handsome, I know you have been told that you’re worthy, I know you have been told that you deserve love and that “your person” won’t stress you.
May I gently add that, your partner most likely also feels the same about themselves. None of these affirmations give you the go ahead to take your partner for granted and remain entitled to being chosen everyday. Hard truth is that some days will be hard and those are the days where the value you have for your partner is tested. You also have to bring unparalleled love to the table, you have to make your partner know that they are chosen by you everyday. You have to make sacrifices they didn’t ask for. In fact, your partner should be able to remember you inbetween work and be thankful to God that they have you. Hey, you’re not the best thing after akara and pap! There is a better version of you out there and your partner sees that person everyday . This is not me asking you to lose yourself fighting to be seen, this is me telling you to do all you can to keep the gaze on you. Reciprocity is the bedrock of trust. Nothing is ever one sided. So I speak to both parties when I write. Human beings are priceless jewels, if one has decided to entrust their hearts in your hands , it’s time to be the best craftsman ever. I beseech you to love without bounds, I ask that you give your all to beholding that beautiful life, I pray that you forgive without hesitation . Give value without holding back and most importantly pray to God who perfects all human endeavor. In our local parlance “ nothing dey outside” . Choose a king/ Queen and stick to them till the vision becomes a reality .

I pray over my life, body, spirit and my soul that the blessings of this new age apply to my life as God has willed it before the onset of time. I pray that lost years are recovered. I pray for a year steeped in peace, growth , knowledge and good cheer. I insist that this one is the year where I walk with God in his infinite plans for my life. It’s a year of purpose, of new levels and greater victories. I claim visibility, I seize authority over the earth and its tidings. That at my instance miracles will happen. This year I come into my full being, I become the salt of the earth , I shall not lose my taste. I seize territories, I dine with kings and not mere men. Amen 🙏🏾. by @mr_oyim

Kindness is a virtue far lost in time . Selfishness , Wickedness and lack of empathy has found justification amongst us. We do evil and justify it because others do same and go Scot free. We blame the world for influencing our acts of wickedness whilst we indulge in activities that justify evil deeds. We have thrown away compassion, brotherliness, unity and fairness for immoral attitudes that promotes toxicity. As difficult as I know it is, I do hope we someday we are able to retrace our steps . To love one another like God intended for us to. For now, I would do my part. I will stay on the part of empathy, kindness and good cheer. I met a man from the past today. We had similar experiences in our place of work. And he said something profound “ sometimes when the enemy pursues you , they end up pursuing you into a better place”. I couldn’t agree less.

When it’s time for a shift in your life be ready for a shocker. Your prayer may have been for a shift in finances, family relationship or your relationship with God. But guess what starts shifting first? People!! The humans in your circle begin to shift! You begin to lose people you never thought you will. Your eyes will be opened to betrayal , toxicity and hate you never knew existed. Endure that pain, it’s the greatest sign of a new dawn. In a short while you will notice new people and energy gravitating towards you. Sometimes you may even find yourself in a new location, knowing no one but God who will provide for you the way he does for the birds of the air. Stay strong during your shift brethren. Gods ways are a mystery, be ready to see “ mene mene tekel upharsin” (your enemies time has been brought to an end ). Don’t be afraid. It’s a new dawn for your victory.

Living is learning. No one ever lived same life before. All the mistakes, victories, pains, joy and emotions you encounter on the way are meant to shape your unique story. Forgive yourself for the downsides, for the wrong choices and for letting yourself go. Forgive yourself for not knowing who you are, for belittling your worth. Now you have learnt, raise your head high and head for the goal. You’re Gods choicest creature, made in his image and likeness and greater things I dare say, shall ye do. Now let’s go win some more battles. Cheers 🤍
