POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Persepolis, the magnificent legacy of ancient Iran, was built around 2,500 years ago by order of Darius the Great.
Its construction began under the Achaemenid Empire and was expanded by kings such as Xerxes and Artaxerxes.
This grand complex was a symbol of the power, glory, and civilization of one of the greatest empires of the ancient world.
Its magnificent reliefs depict representatives of different peoples of Iran and lands under the Achaemenid Empire.
Around 330 BC, Alexander the Great invaded Persepolis, and parts of the city were destroyed by fire.
Over the centuries, this magnificent city became a historical ruin, yet its legacy survived.
In more recent centuries, archaeologists and researchers began uncovering the secrets preserved within this ancient land.
Today, Persepolis stands as one of Iran’s and the world’s most important historical and cultural treasures.
But what remains of Persepolis is more than stone and columns; it is a testament to Iran’s deep roots in this land.
Iran is not merely a name in history; Iran has been rooted in this soil for thousands of years, and its history still breathes through this very land.
