Let me tell you why I decided to not add music or any sound to this post. Reason 1, IG kept trying to turn it into a reel. Reason 2, I want you to be focused on what I type… Each morning we look in the mirror and silently give ourselves affirmations that we believe will truly happen. Instead of holding onto those affirmations, we tend to take our silence affirmations and give it to others. Leaving us yearning for someone to replace what we gave. When you realize, other people hold on tight to their own affirmations but still will allow you to feed into theirs. Unfortunately sometimes it’s okay to keep your self talk and allow yourself to be selfish in hopes. After I brush my teeth and wash my face I look in the mirror and told myself that no matter what I will be happy today. I will not allow anyone negativity to ruin my mood. I will smile and laugh. I will love and support. I will be better than I was an hour ago. This workout pushed me into a zone that I love and miss. I allow myself to fall victim to everyone else unhappiness. I allowed myself to take their pain and carry it like gold. I relieved them from their burden but placed it within. So back to the workout.. I was on my last set of 405 2x2, the last rep instead of touching the seat and go, I paused and thought about everything that happened this year. And shit, I got stuck and couldn’t get back up. Yes I could have asked for some help but if I can’t dig into myself and figure out who is the man I lookin the mirror at. Then that person is nonexistent. The picture roll is me at different points in my life. Confused. Lost. Anger. Ready to give up but I’m non of those things. I’m Terrell Conley, a man with greatness. A man of happiness. Love. Gratitude. A father. A son. A brother. Mentor. Friend. So I say all of this because I want you to know that I see you! I know people don’t tell you because they think you’re fine but it’s going to be okay. Goal to be better tomorrow than I was today. Meal 1 315am Protein shake with yogurt. Gym 415-605am. Sauna for 5-10 minutes. Meal 2 645ish 4eggs w/ cup of egg whites, oatmeal bowl. Clock in 730… Meal 3 1045 Smoked chicken w/ sweet potatoes, sautéed kale and couscous. Meal 4 145 Smoked steak w/ sweet potatoes and sautéed kale. Meal 5 445 Meal 5 Smoked Whiting w/sweet potatoes, couscous and sautéed kale. Meal 6 745 Yogurt w/ blackberries and sizzle of honey. Flush it down with at 150ml of water daily. Women’s History Month

Before the headlines, before the handshakes, before the world learned how to say her name… there was a woman doing the work anyway.

Uncredited.
Undeterred.
Unstoppable.

She was stitching strength into generations, stretching hope across kitchen tables, building whole futures with tired hands and unbreakable faith.

They told her to be quiet. She became thunder.

They told her wait. She became time itself.

They told her no. She built a legacy that answered yes
for daughters she might never meet.

This month is not just about looking back. It is about standing up.

Speaking louder. Walking prouder. Remembering that every barrier she broke is a doorway we are still walking through.

So to every woman who carried more than she was given credit for, who survived things history forgot to write down, who is still rising even now…

We see you. We honor you. We thank you.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Reflection: The Story of Isaac Woodard

Today we honor all who have served. But we must also remember those whose service was met not with gratitude—but with injustice.

Isaac Woodard was a decorated U.S. Army sergeant, honorably discharged in 1946 after serving his country in World War II. Just hours after returning home in uniform, he was brutally beaten and blinded by a South Carolina police chief while still wearing his service attire. His only “crime” was asking to use a restroom.

Woodard’s attack shocked the nation and ignited a movement. His story reached President Harry S. Truman, who was so outraged he ordered the first federal investigation into racial violence in the South and desegregated the U.S. Armed Forces in 1948.

On this Veterans Day, we remember Sgt. Isaac Woodard—not only as a soldier, but as a man whose courage and suffering helped change the course of American history.

Hey family,

I wanted to share something personal I’ve been working on—it’s a book project that’s been sitting heavy on my heart for a while.

It’s called Before the Camps: The American Ideologies That Inspired Hitler, and while it’s still in development, the message behind it feels more urgent than ever.

The premise is simple, but unsettling:
What if the roots of Nazi ideology weren’t just born in Germany—but actually borrowed from here, in America?

I’ve been digging into the ways our country’s history—things like eugenics, segregation, incarceration—helped shape some of the very ideas the Nazi regime would later adopt and amplify. It’s not easy material, but it’s honest.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness. It’s about making sure we don’t keep repeating cycles we haven’t fully understood.
