If there's one thing I truly like in a transformer its a unique design and Beast Wars Neo is littered with bots with really funky looking bot mods and Beast Wars Neo Archadis is no exception.
Im torn on this figure on the one hand I really appreciate making a very unique design to this guy, like I like how the wings draping to the side makes it look like a poncho.
And even having this guy as a Archaeopteryx is such an out there design to go with.
Now the bad...because of said wing poncho this greatly reduces his articulation in the arms, the tail feather being attached to his arm also makes moving the arm harder and the other arm is restricted due to the wings.
Another weird choice is the legs, because of the way the bird legs are on the back of his robot legs, this now heavily restricts his knee bend to the point where he can barely bend them.
He does a few cool gimmicks though, the way his gun is stored on the arm, by rotating the beast tail it rotates the gun forward into his hand, he can also deploy wing bombs from the beast wings, even being able to fold out wing guns too.
Overall, I think he looks very cool, but his play value is pretty bad, its just a shame he didn't have more in terms of basic articulation.

"So who remembers Real-Gear Robots?"

So Real-Gear were a sub line that came out around the 2007 movie, whose backstory was that of random gadgets brought to life by the allspark.
Which is weird, as the designs on these guys dont really fit the bayverse aesthetic and some of them like Power-up and Spy-shot have Transformers Cybertron-esque snickering on them 🤔

Anyways, figured i would start strong with my favourite out of the bunch, High Score 100.
He looks cool, i like the colour choices and he actually has a decent range of articulation given his size, he also has an amazing transformation, he honestly looks exactly like a 3rd party controller.

Now normally I dont usually get third party figures, absolutely nothing against third party figures, its just a lot of the time they're out of my price depth and I tend to lean towards back collecting instead.

That being said, I wanted a Prime Megatron that scales better with my First Edition Prime and also didn't cost a billion dollars and thats where APC Darkmaster (Prime Megatron) comes in.

Got this guy for cheap from a fellow Collector and man, this thing is pretty solid! Its made me wanna actually track down the metallic silver version with the different arm now as that version also looks badass.

Is this the dawn of my third party era? Who knows. But this guy is pretty cool, so I may actually lean towards third party figures a bit more.

Who else remembers how hard it was to get this figure back when it was first released? This is of course Transformers Legacy Velocitron Speedia 500 Cosmos, who was then later re-released in the normal Legacy line.

I was going to my local Kmart (its still here in Aus) everyday in the morning, before work, to try and grab this guy. It went on for weeks and lo and behold, I go in on a random Saturday afternoon and their was one copy right there...

Anyways, I love this little guy! I think its more because this guy turns into a flying saucer, which is really something you just dont get in alt modes, which i think makes him pretty spesh.

Bit of a classic redo-kind of post today. This is, of course, Transformers Studio Series Gamer Edition Optimus Prime. Based on his appearance from War for Cybertron and an absolute banger of a figure.

I actually did a post of this guy alllllllllll the way back at the start of this account as one of my most earliest of posts. So I figured I'd do an update on this guy.

Still as good as i remember, great articulation and a nice easy transformation. I love how he can actually hold the axe quite efficiently with two hands and just overall broad shouldered look, just elevates this figure

It's such an amazing figure, that I dont think any of the other Gamer Edition figures could compare to this figure, which is a shame, cause Hasbro really came out swinging with this guy.

We have another Iron Factory figure today (love messing around with these!) With Iron Factory Samurai Series EX-75 Oosarushogun or better yet just Optimus Primal.

Starting to slowly make my way through these figures and this was another one that immediately caught my eye as when I got this he was in beast mode and I really wanted to see what that alt mode was gonna look like and I was not disappointed. Love me some bulky Primal and with samurai swords you just cant go wrong.

I even like how they managed to squeeze in his shoulder cannons and another nice little touch is the screaming gorilla gauntlets. Funnily enough when I looked up this guys name along with making sure I'd transformed him correctly, I saw so many of these Iron Samurai figures that I kinda want now. Not another new fixation! My wallet hates me enough 😑

This is Transformers Age of the Primes Onyx Prime. And this was probably the second prime i was looking forward to the most after Megatronus.

After I saw the reveals of this guy and that he had a cool centaur mode i was all in.
Probably my only real nit-pick with this guy is that I wish he had a better colour scheme. I've seen some customs with a blue and gold and I think i like that a lot more, but I still dont mind the brown.

And I think overall after getting this guy hes probably my second favourite as well, once again after Megatronus. I will get around to doing Megatronus evantually though.

This is Iron Factory IF EX-62D Iron Samurai Series Shigemitsu aka Grapple.
So i actually won a few of these guys in an ebay auction very recently (like 8 of them) all complete, so i'll be pettering them throughout the next couple weeks as I take a look at them.

Im not usually one to buy third party Transformers, not because I dont like them, quite the contrary. A lot of it just comes down to financial.😅
As some of those cooler looking third party stuff...oof. one day though.

Anyways, i guess what drew me to this guy first was the deco. I really like the mustard yellow used on this guy. And being able yo remove the crane and arm mount it is great.

Great little figure overall, so it looks like im gonna have some fun messing around with these other Iron Factory figures.

This is Transformers Legacy Armada Galvatron. A figure I originally had zero intention on getting (as I already own Armada Megatron) but having picked up Powerlinx Hot Shot and recently getting Powerlinx Red Alert and having this guy pop up up at a clearance price in an ebay listing, I couldn't resist.

And yeah, the deco on this guy looks so nice, coupled with the recently acquired Dark Saber is a match made in heaven. And yes I know Galvatron gets the minicon Clench as his minicon, but Leader 1 still works perfectly fine and God only knows if Hasbro would ever do repaints of the minicons.

Either way its such a lovely deco to look at. Also apologies as I meant to get some snap shots of Galvatron combined with Tidal Wave, but I placed Tidal Wave into storage and I have absolutely no idea which container hes in, but when I do find him i'll do a short mini post of some combined mode goodness.

This is Transformers Shattered Glass Rodimus a sick black deco of Studio Series 86 Hot Rod. I actually purchased this guy as a Rodimus Unicros figure.

He comes with all the same accessories as studio series Hot Rod (not the MTMTE version) but in goth deco. I also got the the MSS studio flame effect to give this guy a bit more to make him stand out a bit more.

Overall, its the 86 Hot Rod mold (albeit also with a sick stache) which is amazing already! And you can never go wrong with a sick black and purple deco! So do most other have this guy as Shattered Glass Rodimus or as Rodimus Unicronus?

This is Hearts of Steel Megatron from the two pack Transformers Hearts of Steel. I did a post a short while back on Hearts of Steel Bumblebee who he was packed in with. And out of the two, yeah, this figure is the better one.

Megatron transforms into a ye'ol timey cannon and I gotta say this thing rolls like really well, like better than some of my Transformers that turn into cars.
His proportions are a lot better than bumblebees, however my main peeve with this figure is the shoulder/wheel things. I really like the look of them, but I really wish their was a way to move out of the way a bit better as they hinder movement sometimes.

Overall, a really cool take on Megatron and the stronger out of the two figures in the two pack. Really liking Hasbro releasing these kinds of figures of Transformers in different possible timelines.

Decepticon trooper-lullapalooza! Didn't mean to have back to back posts on generic soldiers but here we are! Recently acquired the Studio Series Devastation two pack (half price clearance baby!) With the decepticon ground soldier and elite seeker.

Now I really like the deco of the elite seeker, but that earthrise cone-head mold much like the other earthrise seeker mold is starting to overstay its welcome, the sooner we get the 86 conehead mold the better. But where I think this set shines and the main reason I got the set is for this guy.

The baby blue deco, with orange windows just really works together and the earthrise Runamuck/Runabout mold really lookin good here. And I think having his weapon as a sword really opens up some possibilities pose wise.
