ALBUM REVIEW #10
(I censored the cover so Insta doesn't take it down, I apologize 😭)
One of the suggestions I got when I did one of my recommendation boxes was "any of Indigo De Souza's albums". Having never heard of her before this, I looked through her discography on Spotify and decided to take a look at her most recent album, All Of This Will End, released just last year! When I first started listening, I will admit the first few songs didn't really stick out to me, but as I kept listening, I started to realize how talented Indigo De Souza really is! (You can tell by the higher ratings towards the end of the album). Even though a couple songs weren't my favourites, I still enjoyed the album. Some songs were more rock sounding, which I kind of liked. All in all, good album. Solid 7.4 out of 10, which isn't that bad at all! by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #9
Year Of The Cat by Al Stewart! I had never listened to this album, and in general, never listened to Al Stewart's music! Another pleasant surprise from a first time listen! I love the melodic sound of this album, and Al Stewart's voice is wonderful. One song on this album stood out to me in particular, and that is Broadway Hotel. Wow. This song was absolutely amazing! I love the rhythm in this song, and the violins were such a beautiful touch! All I can say that this is a beautiful album, and I definitely recommend it! by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #8
Breathless by Camel, Camel's 6th studio album released in 1978!! This is the THIRD Camel album review I've done and I'm only on my 8th review! Not that I have a problem with it, though. Y'all know how much I LOVE Camel, so I expected it. This album always makes me feel so... cheerful! Every single song on this album has such a positive vibe to it. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the poppish sort of sound to it? Even though this album is mostly pop sounding songs, Camel still goes back to their prog roots with the 7 minute long 'Echoes', despite it also having a pop sound to it as well. Somehow, I rate this album EVER SO SLIGHTLY higher than Rain Dances. I feel it's because Camel are stabilizing a different sort of sound here, whereas Rain Dances was sort of a transition between styles of music (probably as a result of the lineup changes and the changing sounds of the time). Even though I wouldn't recommend this album to a first time listener of Camel, I would most definitely recommend it after someone has listened to the more prog stuff the band made. Pretty awesome album, though! by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #7
Foxtrot by Genesis! Foxtrot is English prog rock band Genesis' 4th album, and it's what many would consider one of their top albums, and it's a classic prog album! This album contains one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) prog epics of all time, the 23 minute long 'Supper's Ready', which also happens to be my favourite song of the album. Even though Foxtrot isn't my personal favourite Genesis album (that title would go to Selling England By The Pound), it's still an awesome listen, and a must-listen for all prog fans, new fans and experienced fans alike! Fun fact, I actually dressed up as Foxtrot (the fox on the album cover) for Halloween 2022 and 2023! by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #6
First jazz album review!! This album is Cal Tjader-Stan Getz Sextet, featuring Cal Tjader (one of the greats on jazz vibraphone), and Stan Getz (one of the greats on the tenor saxophone!) I was really excited to get this request as I am a jazz nerd, and (fun fact) I play the vibraphone in my school's jazz band (for only a couple more months since I'm graduating)! Cal Tjader is actually one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to playing the vibes, and I really admire his playing, especially on his 1964 album Soul Sauce. This album absolutely blew me away, it might actually be one of my favourite jazz albums of all time! The songs are so catchy, and Cal Tjader's vibraphone playing brings this ethereal, mellow touch to the songs. Combined with Stan Getz's amazing tenor playing, you have a dynamic combo with a full sound. Thank you SO SO MUCH to the person that recommended this album! You are a real one by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #5
Another Camel album!! This time, it's Camel's 5th album from 1977, Rain Dances! Rain Dances is a pretty cool album! Not one of my top Camel albums, but still a solid album. Since a major lineup change happened right before the recording of the album, the album has a different style compared to Camel's previous 4 albums. Richard Sinclair brought a very jazzy sound on bass, along with the addition of Mel Collins on woodwinds, which also gives the album a very jazzy feel. Another factor contributing to the change in style is the fact that a lot of prog bands at the time were switching to a more radio-friendly "pop" sound, and I feel that this album has more "pop" elements than Camel's previous album. Rain Dances is definitely a good listen for anyone who likes prog rock with a jazzy feel, or prog with more "pop" elements. I personally believe that if you want to get into Camel, you should listen to the first 4 albums (or the 2nd to 4th albums, which are generally considered their best ones) before listening to this one, but that's just my opinion. by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #4
It seems today, we're continuing with a metal theme, with British heavy metal band Tank's debut studio album from 1982, Filth Hounds of Hades!! I was pleasantly surprised by this album! Since this is older metal, this is the stuff I'm more or less used to, as opposed to the album from my last review! All the songs on this album were pretty good! I loved the raw and intense sound this album brought! Once again, an album with no bad songs! Thanks for the album recommendation! Also I apologize for the terrible cropping. Insta's fault. by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #3
Album number 3 is certainly an interesting one! Feather & Flesh (In His Own Words) by Swedish heavy metal band Avatar! I'd never heard of this album (nor the band) before being recommended this album, so I was going in not knowing what to expect! To be honest, I haven't really heard TOO much heavy metal, so the sound of this album was sort of new to me. This'll probably be one of those albums that'll grow on me over time. This was a SUPER intense album, and some of the songs on here were pretty spectacular! (You can definitely tell what my favourite section of the album was 💀) Some songs just weren't really my thing, however. Not bad at all, just okay. As I said, if I give it another listen, it'll probably grow on me. Thanks for the album recommendation!! (Oh and the cropped out word on slide 3 is supposed to say 'pocket') by @mr_triscuits_

ALBUM REVIEW #2
Moonmadness by Camel!!! This was a HIGHLY requested suggestion for album reviews (as a lot of you know how much I love this album). As you can see, all these songs are rated 9 or higher. All the songs on Moonmadness are absolutely spectacular!! No mediocrity whatsoever!! I believe that Moonmadness was where Camel truly established their sound, and that it's the last album of their peak period (with the best lineup). The albums after are all pretty good, but they aren't as good as the peak period of Mirage-Moonmadness. Moonmadness is basically the perfect album fr. This review was pretty quick to make as I know the album very well, soooo yeah 💀 Anyways, if you like prog rock, I absolutely recommend it!! I will never shut up about how much I love this album. by @mr_triscuits_

FINALLY STARTING THE ALBUM REVIEWS!!
Starting off this series, Secret Treaties by Blue Öyster Cult! (I'm sure a lot of you can guess who submitted this one 💀). Blue Öyster Cult's music never fails to impress me, and this album is no exception, although this is technically the first FULL BÖC album I've listened to. Overall, I give this album an 8.4 out of 10. Some songs were better than others (I was forced to give a good review of Flaming Telepaths. That is partially a joke, cause it actually was my favourite song of the album), but there weren't any songs on the album that I'd consider bad. All in all, it's a pretty good listen for those who like hard rock, so feel free to take a listen if you want! And to all you guys who are waiting for your reviews to be posted, I apologize for the delay, I am a very busy guy, annnnnd I tend to procrastinate a TON, so once again, I apologize for that 💀. They will be posted eventually!! by @mr_triscuits_
