Top tier taxi trip into the Tajik hills with a bunch of good lads, a few cracked windows and a newfound fear of overtaking on blind mountain roads. These mountains were magnificent - hot, rocky and snow peaked. We scaled a decent sized fella largely on scree, but received beautiful views at the top. Wonderful people and land. taken in Tajikistan by @mrbenholmes

Pt. 5 of 5. China, then home.

Stopped by for a few days on my way home. Dosed up with new apps from my 🇨🇳 boys. Had a lovely time in Shanghai soaking up the museums, food and street life. Then headed a few hours inland to Zhenjiang to seek out some Hudson Taylor history. Managed to find a wonderful new memorial for him and Maria - a lovely tribute to their efforts of bringing the gospel of Jesus to inland China with authenticity and love in the 1800s. Also had a great time at a local church linked to the memorial. After that I checked out some old town history in Suzhou, tried some local goose, was requested for a photo with many locals, then returned to Shanghai on high speed rail. What a fascinating country.

Finally made it home. To circle back to my beginnings in November, a photo in a London bus stop at the end. What a blessing it’s been these 3 and a half months. Very grateful for the opportunity and all the people I met along the way. The scenes I saw were fantastic, but it’s the people that made it special. Pt. 4

NZ solo van trip. Did a big loop of the South Island for a few weeks all thanks to the very kind @alice.rose.dodds @dougiedodds for letting me borrow their delightful campervan. Very blessed.

My kitchen / distant hills to the south / sleepy fur seal / Mt Fyffe getting the early sun in Kaikoura / descending Mt Fyffe with a German gentleman who agreed to hike it with me / German Ben and English Ben / evening river sounds at Mt Somers / fog clearing on Mt Somers trail - doing a two day hike / dinner / summit / Daryl and Lisa - a lovely couple who were also touring the south / Aoraki in the distance / Dean made us shakshuka for breakfast before church / lamb wraps and ginger beer in the evening / Purakaunui falls after a good dump of rain / coming down the Remarkables road into Queenstown / a surprise birthday cake with new pals / flying into the glaciers / hiking next to golden sands on the Able Tasman coast / watching the snow turn pink on the mountains while fighting off the sandflies taken in Aotearoa New Zealand by @mrbenholmes

Pt. 3

Adelaide evenings / koala spotting on hikes with @angeloholsteijn / back with Boaz / Sydney coastlines looking crisp / Christmas Eve at Sydney cathedral / very thankful to be able to stay with the Johns for a good while / catching up with outback friends in the city / @ayooniecorn showing me the harbour via kayak / shenanigans w/ boys / singing aussie classics with fam + kids / took a trip to Cairns for the tropical sunsets / met nemo + dory in the great reef / spent a week getting certified to scuba / getting deep with the boys / met a 500 year old fig tree / this waterfall was intense to be sat under / went to Byron bay for a week to try and improve my surfing (got humbled) / searching for waves / only managed to capture some whitewater surf / good evenings with room 412 by @mrbenholmes

Other side of the world pt.2

Uluṟu > Adelaide. 2000km outback camping road trip. This one was a real treat. Rich friendships formed. Lots of talking about life and all its mysteries along dusty open roads. Lots of flies and 40 degrees while exploring majestic old rocks. Lots of learning about indigenous Australia, its spiritual stories, ways of seeing the world and history with the white man. Very thankful for a trip like this taken in Uluru by @mrbenholmes
