After reading Doom Patrol by Gerard Way (which is now my favorite comic book team) I fell back into my MCR/Gerard Way phase (not that I necessarily ever left but it’s stronger again). I’ve specifically been obsessing over the Long Live The Black Parade tour, The Foundations Of Decay, Doom Patrol, Hesitant Alien, and similar art (Station to Station by Bowie, Cabaret, Batman: A Serious House, and The Wall by Pink Floyd). I love the reflection on how art is made, personal freedom, personal/private hells, the large push back against fascist ideas, and how friends matter. But I also love that finding comfort in the strange, strangers, found family, and darkness is something to be held close and loved. #mcr #doompatrolcomics #rock #art by @mrbones2099

Here are some of my favorite photos from House On The Rock (I went there over the summer), some things I see around campus/Milwaukee, and a piece of weaving art done by my friend @c.arias.13_ (it’s a bird and really cool!)! I hope you enjoy the photos. #campuslife #toyphotography by @mrbones2099

While most people relate Pink Floyd’s Darkside Of The Moon to The Wizard of Oz, I personally relate it more to The Silence Of The Lambs. The themes and ideas of both line up (in my opinion) and the cold, clinical, and pristine horror of Silence fit the strange and distant harmonics and lyrics of Darkside. Plus Time feels like a Hannibal monologue. #pinkfloyd #silenceofthelambs #art #horror #music by @mrbones2099

Self Portrait/Landing Day

Note: Abstract symbols, energy bursts, and other images may be signs of anxiety, misunderstanding emotions, confusion, and/or an unanswered question.

Also note: Carly may demonstrate intense feelings of joy, love, compassion, curiosity, and empathy. Don’t freak out. She isn’t dangerous. Just lost. If found please return to Milwaukee. This is her first day on Earth.

So, I am aware I am a day late but I don’t. Happy Treason Day everyone. American Beauty/American Psycho is my favorite FOB album and is perfect for this day and summer in general. It’s like the perfect blend of hype pop-punk rock and melancholic slow ballads. I love it. by @mrbones2099

Happy anniversary to the album that changed my life. Released in June of 1972 THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS is not only one of the most important albums in Bowie’s discography but one of the most influential albums in rock history. It also changed my life when I listened to it in 8th grade. It has led me to so much of the art I listen to today. R.I.P. Bowie. by @mrbones2099

Hello! This is simply a post about how much I love Danger Days by MCR. It is a constant battle between this and Three Cheers for my favorite MCR album and today it is this one! This was one of the first CDs I got after moving at the start of middle and it was the first MCR album I ever owned and my first interaction with a concept album and storytelling through music that wasn’t a musical. I got it as an X-Mas gift. It is much more alternative pop-punk/rock than the albums before it; taking large inspiration from things like Bowie (specifically Scary Monsters in my opinion), The Clash, Billy Idol, Prince, and combing them with a Mad Max classic scifi dystopia setting and storytelling. So really it is an album tailored for me. And I love it so much this was on loop in my CD player for 2 years and still in regular rotation. So as my as I love Three Cheers, I’ve swung back to Danger Days being my favorite outing for MCR. I will forever love this album and the world it created. by @mrbones2099

As a queer person who falls on the nonbinary/transgender spectrum I find it very hard to explain myself so I use media to help me understand or explain parts of myself. Here are some pieces of media that I feel a personal connection with that are either outwardly queer or have a lot of queer coding and messaging. (Only notice a good chunk of them revolve around women, more on this later) #pride #lgbtq #trans by @mrbones2099
