G H A N A 🇬🇭

There’s a specific kind of peace that only comes from being home. Not the quiet kind — the alive kind. Accra’s horns, The rhythm of haggling in Kejetia in Kumasi, the smell of street food drifting through traffic, practising my Twi with strangers who feel like family before you’ve even said a word.

I love the early mornings before the markets wake up, a slow conversation with an uncle or aunt (why do the get up so early), the pause between the noise when you catch the sunrise on Labadi beach

That’s home. Me fie. All of it — the chaos and the calm — what’s not to love about escaping to Gh in the offseason ❤️

I still have so much to see. Next time tho…

I can’t explain it.

Is it the Amapiano?

Is it the almost perfect weather?

There’s something about this place that provides me with a peace that seems unparalleled.

I came for a wedding but truth be told I need no excuse to come back.

Cape Town has my heart.

I’ll speak more on it another time for sure!

I made this video and wrote an article about this last year (link in bio). I didn’t want to post it cause:

1. It felt almost too personal
2. I didn’t want to put pressure on myself. Sometimes when you share that you’ll do something online, it feels like the clocks ticking.

On the outside life looks calm and fun but on the inside I was just….calm. Not happy or sad.

Sometime soon, I’ll drop a video going into a bit more detail…

But the main issue was I wasn’t actually doing anything to chase my Joy.

So… In the spirit of Easter and newness. I’m going to actually try and do the things that bring joy to my spirit.

Sometimes I’ll document and share jt.

Other times I’ll leave it on my laptop 😅. Turns out I’m shy..

But yeah. This is my promise to myself to Reclaim my Joy! by @mrbonsu

Loooooool I’ve been getting bullied into posting a follow up video.

I cut my hair guys. Baby faced Bonsu is back 😅

I didn’t know that me having hair was such a hated period 🥲

Anyway. The enemies saw to it that the hair come down like the walls of Jericho. I hope you’re all happy 😂

Can I go back to regular scheduled content and stuff now?

I’m actually loving doing these talking head videos. I think I should do more of them!

Jesus year.
Faith taught me timing. Life taught me patience.
Every season left a lesson, nothing was wasted.
Going forward from here on, I want my steps to mean something —
My aim is to move intentional, grounded, forward.

PROOF OF LIFE!

My personal and work life have kept me grounded as of late but we stay fly regardless!

Life has been fun though. I’ve challenged myself by getting involved in many different types of photography and videography projects.

All of this (plus that old enemy fear) has meant I haven’t really kept my promise to do more and post more. But it’s okay. God is still on my side and there’s time. The year’s not even done (although it’s November soon 💀)
