Completely devastated to say our sweet Louie has crossed the rainbow bridge. To say our family is heartbroken is an understatement. To know Louie was to love him, anyone who he crossed paths with became a friend. To my Lou boy, what an absolute privilege it was to love someone who makes it so incredibly hard to say goodbye. You were there for all of our biggest moments, college graduations, our engagement, our first apartment, our wedding, our first home and bringing your brother home. I will forever miss you, your hair all over the floors blankets and our clothes, your snores as you snooze cuddled up to one of us, your barks at the door chime or anyone who dare moved outside our window, your kisses and your constant want for a little treat. It feels empty without you here and my heart tugs at all the reminders of you all around that I can’t bare to move. I came home from the appointment and immediately looked for you in your spot just for my heart to break when you weren’t there. You deserved such a longer life than the 10 years you got and I will forever be angry cancer robbed you of that. We love you so much and will miss you forever 🤍🐾 by @mrbrianr

My sweet Roman,

I can’t believe you are a year old today. The time has passed by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday, I was at the hospital afraid to pick you up for the first time because I didn’t want anything to happen. From the moment we saw you, I felt a love that I have never experienced before. My heart filled with so much warmth and love immediately, and that has grown as you have. When you were born, I couldn’t believe that I was a father and that I had a son. Now, I couldn’t imagine a life without you and am so grateful that we were blessed with such an amazing baby like you. I can’t wait to one day tell you about all the memories we’ve made over the last year and how special it has been.. You may not remember this day, but I promise you, I won’t forget it. You will have such a special life, and I know you’ll forever be a very special person. The world has a lot of huge plans for you. We can’t wait to show you the world, and see where life takes you. My son, I wish you the happiest of birthdays, and I love you beyond words.
