Yea so it took me just under 9 years. But that also solidified the feelings I still have for this woman. Hey ma, I know it’s been a minute. Each year I get lost without you, but life and the few help me get through the days. I feel like when time goes on the healing process churns into a bittersweet moment this time of year. Longer days, longer years in my mind. I feel like you wouldn’t like the man I’ve become. The failures I’ve endured, the choices I have made. But my morales you taught me are still there. Mostly… you were right that trying to function in this world would become the challenge. That living a curtain way would collide with the decisions I would make. I get that. I am sorry I couldn’t understand that when you were here. But I take today to remember you. 2025 started off on a fantastic note. Had a full time job, no illnesses, steady, stable and true. But it was mostly downhill from there for me. Lost my job, fewer friend interactions, financially destroyed, and the end of the year, I just don’t have any confidence… that’s not to say there weren’t beautiful moments, and ones to share with a few people.
