This one is really a thank you to Alyssa, who helped make this happen for us and probably hasn’t gotten nearly enough credit from me yet. 💚

And big thanks to Rick and Nicki and everyone at Andover Cannabis for having me.

I’ve seen plenty of big ideas for events like this come and go over the years. These guys had the vision and actually made it happen. Canna Camp planted a flag for something new in our area, and I’m glad I got to be a small part of the first one.

Looking forward to whatever we cook up next.

Got a minute and a half? 🎸

A rare no-show Friday night for me. After a pretty rough few days, I’m home with the family, laying low and appreciating the little things.

Funny how a song this dark can also be so beautiful. There’s something about the idea of being by someone’s side, no matter what life throws at you.

Some nights mean more than you realize at the time.

November 2, 2021, at The Hard Swallow marked a return to the NYC music scene for me as a solo artist.

And who better to welcome me back than Frank Wood, a longtime fixture of New York's underground music scene, whose history stretches back to the city's legendary punk-rock years.

The Hard Swallow was one of those gritty East Village rooms where the spirit of old New York was still very much alive.

Looking back, I love that stage of my solo journey. I was leaning heavily into rock and soul, playing with attitude and instinct, not worrying much about alternate picking or fingerstyle technique. Just letting it rip.

Special love and remembrance for James Lane, who filmed this performance. James has since passed away, leaving a real void in the NYC music community. I'm grateful he was there to capture this moment.

Thanks to Frank, James, and everyone who kept the independent music scene alive.

Some nights stay with you.
