✊🏾 FROM #PROTEST TO #PROGRESS 🕊️

What began as a protest in Charlotte has now become a model for progress across the country.

Today, we took another step forward as we joined the newest CMPD recruit class at the @internationalcivil in Greensboro, NC — a sacred space where the courage of four students changed the course of history.

Through our Protest to Progress partnership, our founder of Heal Charlotte @mrgreghjackson and Chief Jennings have worked side by side to make sure this education is accessible to every recruit class that enters the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

We believe that before you can serve a community, you must understand its pain, its history, and its heartbeat. That’s why community policing is not just a program — it’s a psychology.

We’re proud to share that @cmpdhq has now sent more officers to the International Civil Rights Museum for this educational experience than any other police department in North Carolina. That’s leadership through empathy. That’s progress through partnership.

I’ve had the honor of speaking about this model nationally — because our goal is clear:
to make Protest to Progress a national training program that helps law enforcement departments across the country build trust, humility, and healing from the inside out.

From Charlotte to Greensboro… and soon, from city to city across the nation.
This is how we turn pain into purpose and protest into progress.

The documentary is almost ready fam. Thank you to my guy @seaneldridge_ceo from @arisegroupinc for doing this. What was supposed to be a recap video for our @sglconcertferenceteam has now morphed into an almost hour presentation on my journey from finding Charlotte’s premiere service organization @myhealcharlotte into what is now the @somethinggodloves para church.

Walk with me on this journey. It’s almost been 10 years of service since the 2016 protests for #KeithLamontScott and #JustinCarr Witness the transformation.

What an incredible night at the @dorsettchapel Youth Explosion! 🙌🏾🔥

It was truly an honor and a privilege to serve the LORD and lead music ministry alongside an amazing group of young people. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional, and the love of CHRIST was evident throughout the entire evening.

A special thank you to Brother Thad for believing in me and @somethinggodloves and helping make this opportunity possible. Your encouragement and support mean more than you know.

One of the things that impacted me the most was seeing young people leading, organizing, and serving throughout the event. They didn’t just attend—they took ownership. It was inspiring to watch the next generation use their gifts to glorify GOD.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to Dorsett Chapel Church in Spencer, North Carolina. Your investment in the next generation is evident. From your beautiful sanctuary to the intentional way you create space for youth to grow in CHRIST, you are building something special that will impact lives for years to come.

Thank you for allowing Something GOD Loves to be part of such a powerful evening of worship, praise, unity, and purpose.
