Today in Iowa a downpour came down. It was warm air and cool rain. It reminded me of being at @malabarhillsrilanka last year. I would swim at night and the monsoon rains would come and go while I relaxed in the pool. One of the most memorable and peaceful moments in my memory. taken in Malabar Hill Sri Lanka by @mrinstacredible

The most insanely perched rooftop pool I have experienced yet... and its next level early in the morning when the night club music fades and the monks' morning prayers begin. by @mrinstacredible

I went when the temple was still waking up. The chants and drums were just warming up. The morning was wessak, the Buddhist equivalent of Christmas. taken in Sri Asokarama Temple by @mrinstacredible

This proud father and his son left an impression on me. They were faithfully serving in a Hindu temple (the son, said the father, had already served for 20 years). They were warm and gracious. I have to contrast that with a Buddhist museum where I was mistreated. We all make an impression about our beliefs, every day. taken in Sri Ponnambalawaneswarar Dewasthanam by @mrinstacredible

Two temples side by side in Galle Fort, one Hindu and this one Buddhist. The highlight was a conversation with this monk who just exuded positivity and peace. taken in Galle Fort by @mrinstacredible
