Counting my blessings every morning and when have to stop because otherwise I wouldn’t have time to do anything else, but Thank You God for another year! Thank you God for all my family and friends. Thank you for the people who have come and gone, and thank you for the people who continue to pray for me in spite of my faults. Going into this year I want to start by thanking you God publicly for my life, your grace, your son, and your mercy. Let me never forget you’ve been there. Thank you God. And to all my friends I pray God blesses you. taken in Honolulu Wakiki--Hawaii by @mrjgaines

Never underestimate the power of your words, a simple poem I got published when I was ten still holds true. May not have been the best poem in the world, but when I go back and read it, it makes me smile. Between this and still being able to recite The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost in my mind has continued to give me comfort in spite of my failure to conform to the world’s standards. Life and death are in the power of the tongue so speak life over yourself, and remember that God created you on Purpose and for a Purpose. taken in Franklin Township (Somerset), N.J. by @mrjgaines
