„I was listening to an epic piece of music this morning called “Problem Number 6” by Bruno Pernadas. I want people to put that song on and think about how surfing is a party that we all want to be a part of.

It’s not a let’s get shit-faced and break stuff kind of party. It’s like, where are the jugglers on the high wire above our heads, naked and wearing jester hats? Where’s the person playing violin underwater, broadcasting it from the bottom of the lake? Where are all the dancers? Where are the colors? Where are the smells?

Where are the people camping in the bush for weeks, waiting for walls of water to wrap around a rock after weird energy waves pressurizing our atmosphere go woooosh—sending ripples across the ocean that we merge with for like ten seconds, and carry with us all day when we come back to shore?

Like that kind of party!
