Michael Cashman had the first gay kiss in a UK soap. He's an actor, politician and activist and co-founder of Stonewall.
He tells us his amazing story in an inspirational way and is the perfect start to series 1. Listen from 26 November. Sun headline saying "It's Eastbenders", with tagline "Gay men to stir up TV soap" by @mrjonathanchambers

Hard to capture how moving it was to see the UK AIDS Quilt. Through darkness and death, the LGBTQ+ response was this beautiful. It underscores the resilience and steel that we have always had. #lgbt #theviewfromhere taken in Tate Modern Museum by @mrjonathanchambers

I’ve heard we lost this great person today. When we ask the question, ‘on whose shoulders do we stand,’ Bette Bourne’s name must be on that list. An early member of The Gay Liberation Front and the bloolips. A great actor and activist who lived his life authentically and fiercely. I had the great joy of doing two plays with Bette years ago. We are poorer without him. ❤️ by @mrjonathanchambers

Had the fantastic privilege of marching with @aktcharity at Pride today. Approx 25% of homeless youth in the UK are LGBTQI. No one should have to choose between a safe home and who they are. #pride #pridemonth #pride🌈 #lgbtq by @mrjonathanchambers

25 years since The Admiral Duncan was bombed. 25 years too since Brick Lane and Brixton were bombed. All by the same man. It’s important to come together for these events and be vigilant so the don’t happen again. #hopenothate #lovewins🌈 taken in Admiral Duncan by @mrjonathanchambers
