“I rode the height of Everest, in a Scottish Storm.”A project I shot and edited for @brink.uk + @redbullbike + @specialized_uk @will_gell took on the challenge of everesting Heartbreak Ridge, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Starting at 0330, he ascended and descended 20 times, across 12 hours. Absolute machine. I had the privilege (and easier job) of capturing it, piecing together footage from 8 different cameras, and hopefully doing the feat justice in the edit. They say that there’s no such thing as a stupid idea. This was pretty stupid though. But you’ll not hear any complaints from Will, whose pace and sense of humour didn’t change throughout the day despite starting at 0330hrs, riding in zero visibility through a storm with a name over 19 laps of one of the most challenging trails out there.
