“120 DEGREES AND STILL EXPECTED TO GROOVE”

The crowd heard the music.
They danced. They sang.
They told us we were pumping.

What they didn’t see was the heat radiating off the pavement, the six-string bass getting heavier by the minute, the sweat, the exhaustion, the walk from where we were forced to park, or the bass-tech bill waiting after the gig.

People see the performance.

They rarely see what it costs the body—and the instrument—to produce it.

And no, just because we played through it doesn’t mean everything was okay.

Everything did not work out. We worked through it.

Part Three of The Gig. The Money. The Blueprint. My continuing music series.

I’m working on the evaluation of infinite series via Fourier analysis. I find it fascinating that disparate parts of math can be so fully connected. At the end of the day, everything stems for products and sums. #zetafunction #fouirerAnalysis #math #integrals #infinite by @mrmathman202

Here’s my jazz theory on ii V I progressions. I’ve identified the standard predominant, dominant and tonic major chords most likely to be used in reharms. I’ve provided trigonometric representations for some standard voicings so stem majors can understand tonal harmony. Pi = tritone = #4/b5. This is applicable to all keys. #jazztheory #jazz #physics #trigonometry by @mrmathman202
