Man oh man what can I say about 2024, the year that was filled with so much pain and the same time so much joy. So on January 7th 2024 I took my father to the hospital, what I thought was nothing major turned out to be a stroke. It’s hard watching one of your parents deteriorate right infront of you. Seeing my father scared and confused was painful, stressful and sad. Those first few days were tough not knowing exactly what would happen to him and what the next step would be. Fortunately he’s stabilized and he’s at nursing home. As I was dealing with all the sadness and stress of my father’s stroke, my bro @rayray__f1 and his wife @leila.mo.na were getting ready to welcome their first child, lill Alexander Nabily was born January 20 2024, a much needed infusion of joy in my life. Helped restore my faith and gain some perspective. February and March went smoothly until I got the horrible news that my bro Ruben Douglas had passed away unexpectedly in April Ruben is one of my closest friends and getting the news of his passing really hit hard. Truthfully I’m still processing it, feels odd not getting a Lebron hating text after a Lakers loss since he was a notorious Bron hater. Life got back on track in May and June and I felt the clouds lifting in July as I attended my friend @jetg5 baby shower, a real joyous event, her Dad came thru with an all time great speech lol and Jet’s beautiful daughter Harper was born in late September once again joy. So I say all this because this year taught me a lot, it taught me that the universe is always working and moving forward, I learned to focus on Joy and the happy events that were going on around me. I also learned to slow down, and enjoy life a lill more. I wanted to write this post to thank everybody who helped inspire me and keep me motivated, and give me perspective you may have not known you were helping but you were. Thanks to all my friend who checked on me, my Ace @714.nic for always being available to talk. I put 2024 to bed, let’s see what you’re talking about 2025. taken in Newport Beach, California by @mrmaz12

I feel blessed that I’m in my mid 40’s now and I can still come and workout on this track with a high level of intensity. Feel blessed that I’m at an age where I can steal you young dudes, Girl or Mom’s lol I can turn ya Girl out and turn ya Mom’s up lol 😂 by @mrmaz12

Man I really appreciate all the birthday messages and texts this morning. I’m just happy this cocky young dude is slowing moving towards his mid 40’s in good health, and one piece. The books smarts eventually caught up with the street smarts and basketball IQ, and I’m proud to say that. Also proud to say I no longer pose for pictures like I’m the 5th member of Color Me Bad lol although I do need to smile more. taken in Newport Beach, California by @mrmaz12
