The IRS always knows… and mismatched numbers are a major red flag 🚩!

If income gets reported under your Social Security Number or EIN and it doesn’t show up on your tax return, the IRS is automatically notified. This includes forgotten 1099s, underreported income, or “guessing” your expenses instead of keeping proper records.
