The View, or the Crowd?

Sightseeing No.4, original oil painting on canvas, with lines incised by palette knife. Pandas crowd the landmark. A scene about how the most famous places lose their stillness, buried under the rush of those who came to see them.

Pandas in New York - Stillness Above the Climb

In a yellow sky, colorful blocks form the New York City skyline. Pandas climb upward through the towers—driven by an invisible force, chasing something they cannot name. Above the clouds, one panda sits alone in meditation.

This piece is from series What We Build. It reflects the restlessness of modern city life—the constant climbing, the endless competition, the silent pressure that pushes us forward without asking why. And above it all, a quiet question: What are we really climbing for?

Seascape

Pandas on a NYC rooftop, fish drifting between the towers. A piece from my series, What We Build — a meditation on what we construct, and what slips away in the process.

As we build our cities and civilizations, we also encroach upon the natural world — from the land to the ocean, squeezing the living space of other species. We should protect our environment the way we protect the panda.

Oil on canvas, with lines incised by palette knife — a signature technique of the artist, and the defining feature that distinguishes his work from others. A visual language that cloaks heavy social critique in a light, poetic surface.
