It’s all in the detail and when it comes to cabinetry that includes what’s inside the cupboards and drawers. We use oak throughout the interior of our cabinetry, finished in our own bespoke stains. The most commonly used across our projects are Classic Oak, Berkeley Oak, Portobello Oak, Ledbury Oak, Greenwich Oak and Portman Oak. These were all created by HM founder and owner @mrphumphrey with the finishing team at HM. We also occasionally use American walnut, which is finished in one of our own stains too.

This carousel is a little look inside the cupboards and drawers of our kitchens - it’s the bits you don’t always see in the videos on here but which make such a difference to the overall feel of a room.

We have examples of all these finishes in both our London and Felsted showrooms, so if you’re thinking about a new kitchen, come and have a look - please just give us a ring or email to make an appointment. There’s nothing quite like seeing the colour, grain and finish of the timber in person.

The boot room at the Yorkshire project has HM Nickleby cabinetry finished in the custom Lock & Load colour which was created by @mrphumphrey with @mylands_london when we initially designed our entirely bespoke range of colours. Walls are Wellington - another custom finish - with Ledbury oak interiors throughout. The design was all about practicality for busy weekends when the house is full of guests but it’s also a calm and orderly space to use as the daily entrance in and out of the house. #humphreymunson | 📸 @paullmcraig taken in Yorkshire Dales by @mrphumphrey

For this lovely project in Hampshire as well as the principal cabinetry in the orangery and newly imagined boot room, we also supplied a full architectural joinery package. As everything we do is completely bespoke we were able to design, make and install these beautiful portobello oak Cambridge arched doors together with panelled door linings and architraves. Led by @mrphumphrey the care and attention taken over these by every person at HM who worked on this project was second to none and have all contributed to the success of this incredible renovation project for our gorgeous clients. #humphreymunson | 📸 @paullmcraig

The Lexington dining table is a design classic by @mrphumphrey and looks incredible here finished in Berkeley oak - a bespoke finish to HM. Our tables are available to all and can be customised in size as they are all handmade to order at our workshops in Felsted, Essex. We love this Lexington table paired with the Mortimer dining chairs upholstered in @perennialssutherland_uk performance fabric. The Chelsea chair is a simplistic, robust design by @mrphumphrey inspired by the century-old Adirondack classic. The clean lines and gently tapered legs create a cool, refined silhouette that’s softened by the generously cushioned upholstered seat and backrest. Comfortability is always key at HM. Shown here upholstered in @perennialsfabrics with Portobello oak frames.

The solid oak frames are handmade using traditional joinery techniques and can be finished in our range of bespoke oak finishes.

The custom seating can be upholstered in a selection of high-quality performance fabric. We typically suggest Perennials performance fabrics for a luxurious and practical finish. Contrast piping is available on request.
