Some characters are designed. Others stay with you for a lifetime.

With this painting, I didn’t simply paint MEX and MEXOMIAS - I brought them to life.

For decades, drawings, comics, painting, character design, and personal experiences have all led to this moment.

In this painting is not the Mickey Mouse you think you know.

At first glance, everything feels familiar, almost too simple, but the longer you look, the more the image begins to shift.
The face does not stay with one expression, but holds several at once, creating a tension between memory and what is actually visible.

Inspired by Mickey Mouse, this work moves beyond pure nostalgia and shifts the focus toward identity.
In Fragmented Cubism, the figure is presented in a way that has not existed before – multiple emotions, identities,
and expressions are shown in a powerful and psychological way, flowing into one another.

Developed on the Côte d’Azur - a region deeply connected to the history of Cubism through Pablo Picasso’s work -
Fragmented Cubism continues this dialogue through a contemporary visual language.

Meeting Ernst Beyeler in 2001 • Co-Founder of Art Basel

By pure coincidence, I recently came across this photograph again - a photo I had believed was lost forever.

Between 2001 and 2002, I had the rare privilege of working in Ernst Beyeler’s garden in Riehen, near Basel, Switzerland.

At the time, art had already been an important part of my life for many years, and I was developing my own creative path.

Ernst Beyeler was one of the most influential figures in the international art world-a legendary Swiss art dealer, collector, and co-founder of Art Basel.
Yet what impressed me most was not his reputation, but his kindness, humility, and genuine passion for art.

During our coffee and croissant breaks, we spoke about art, philosophy, life, and the importance of seeing beyond the surface.
Those conversations were simple, honest, and unforgettable.

Looking back today, I realize that my time with Ernst Beyeler was far more than a job.
It became one of those defining experiences that quietly shaped the way I think, create, and see the world.

Thank you, Ernst Beyeler, for your inspiration-and for everything you gave to the world of art.

Art Basel - Inside the international art world.

A moment to reconnect with collectors, galleries and the energy of the international art world.

Art Basel Week.

Most people see Batman. I see a journey that began over 30 years ago.

I see decades of study, experimentation, failures, discoveries, and thousands of hours in the studio.

This painting is not really about Batman.

It is about the search for a new visual language.

That search eventually led to Fragmented Cubism.

The movement is still young, but it is gaining momentum internationally, and I am excited to see where the journey leads.

Over Three Decades of Artistic Evolution.
From My First Artwork at Age 7 to Museum Walls.

What if the art didn’t begin in a studio - but in childhood?

Long before international exhibitions, contemporary paintings and sculptures, there were comics, sketchbooks,
graffiti walls, spray cans and an early fragmented sculpture that I created as a 6–7-year-old boy.
Looking back today, many of the visual ideas that define my work were already there.

My new blog article explores the complete evolution behind my art - spanning more than three decades:
from childhood drawings, urban visual culture and graffiti to contemporary character painting, psychological
fragmentation and the emergence of Fragmented Cubism.
