20 years, Gary. 💚

A life filled with beautiful places, wonderful meals, good friends, laughter, adventures, questionable amounts of vino, and a love that has only grown richer with time.

From our favorite restaurants to our own kitchen, from faraway places to nights at home, there’s nowhere I’d rather be than beside you.

20 years in, and you’re still my favorite person to travel with, dine with, laugh with—and come home to. 💙💚🥂

Here’s to us, and to whatever delicious adventure comes next. ✈️ 🍷🍸 🍣 🥩

We celebrated in expected B&G style tonight with an amazing dinner at 3-Michelin-starred SMYTH. CHEERS to 20 more!!! 💙💚💙💚🍾 taken in Smyth by @mrppanther

Tonight was Greek Night!!! Fired up the charcoal Weber for some delicious crispy Chicken, homemade tzatziki, roasted potatoes, warm pita and a fresh Greek Salad. A nice mezze platter and Spanakopita to start! With a fresh, warm baguette I wrapped super cutely in a towel! 😜

Was a super beautiful night to be outside for dinner!

Also, I bet you didn’t know I’m half Greek! 🇬🇷 Yamas!!!

With this lovely cooler weather here in Chicago this weekend, it’s time for some comfort food! Today was a ridiculously tender and flavorful Pot Roast, inspired by @inagarten recipe for Company Pot Roast. I got a beautiful roast from @thepaulinameatmarket and it didn’t disappoint!

I decided to add cheddar, chives and thyme to my homemade bread!

Oh, I also included a pic of Gary’s porch pumpkin arrangement! What a great weather day to be outside while the roast was braising!

What an amazing evening tonight at Ravinia seeing the fabulous and beautiful Ms. Martina McBride. Took me right back to the late 90s when I first fell in love with country music!

So today I had lots of leftover chicken noodle soup. I figured I would freeze some, but maybe we could turn the rest into a chicken noodle soup casserole for dinner tonight! It was a perfect fit for my grandmother’s vintage Corning Ware!

Topped it off with some buttery crackers w/parsley! Turned out great!

Dessert was a really quick Pretzel Peanut Butter blondie. It called for light brown sugar, but I only use dark…way more flavor. But also more color, lol. So these were darker than blondies but not quite brownies!

Whoops, our starter was whipped ricotta with figs on toast! Thanks, @inagarten !!

So this morning Gary texted me he thinks he’s getting a cold. Oh boy! That means homemade chicken noodle soup and warm crusty bread!

For some reason, instead of buying the bread, like I usually do, I decided to make it from scratch. It was so simple, and the final result was truly amazing. Crusty, warm, and delicious. I used an amazing organic wheat bread flower from Marriage’s.

Thank you to Andy @andyseastcoastkitchen_ for the great recipe! I’ll work on a better top design for next time. lol

Then I started to prep the creamy chicken noodle soup. Fresh mirepoix, herbs and organic chicken! It didn’t take long at all and the final result was delish! Thank you to Tieghan @halfbakedharvest for the recipe I used as a guide. I didn’t make my own noodles (store-bought IS fine); but I added fresh parsley to them, so when they’re added to the soup, it garnishes itself!

Thank you, @dansegar for this spot on recommendation! 💚

If you’re in Milwaukee, make sure you put this in your list!

We had so much fun last night at the AC/DC concert at Notre Dame!!! The last time we saw AC/DC live was 30 yrs ago for their Ballbreaker tour. Those guys played for 2 1/2 hours and completely killed it! Angus Young is seriously one of the best guitarists ever! Bro did a 25 minute guitar solo and ran the stage all night…at 71!!! Loved being in my favorite place, listening to one of my favorite bands with my Mom and sister! It was so hot out, but man, what an awesome show! Thank you @acdc and @notredame
