It’s our anniversary. Marriage is hard, but some things are worth fighting for. #marriage #husbandandwife #relationship #anniversary #love by @mrs.finau

20 YEARS! 🤵🏾‍♂️👰🏻‍♀️
20 years ago today we said I do. It was 7 months and 10 days from the first night we met by chance. If I were to say our wedding day was the best day of my life, I would be lying. Although memorable, it was one of the worst days of my life. For years I looked back and was filled with sadness, anger, and resentment for those who tried to make OUR day about them. Our wedding day became a huge point of contention throughout our marriage. I hate what that day reminded me of and often wished our reception the following year is what we celebrated. Our wedding day was a foreshadowing of all that would come for years and it wasn’t pretty.
💍🍻
I know this isn’t a traditional wedding post, especially for the celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary, but that goes to show how far we have come. Over the years, through the bad times and good times, through the loss and through the joy, we have been able to shed the life and people that brought us down. We have managed to find our way together and with the love and support of our girls, have been able to build a marriage and life that suits us and makes us happy. Focusing on US, we have found a way to center our marriage around love. A love deep enough to hit rock bottom and bounce back to the top. OUR journey has been crazy and has taken us for a few spins, but we continue to get stronger together every day. No matter what happened on our wedding day, I celebrate that day because it has brought us HERE! 20 years later, 3 beautiful girls, 2 dogs and lots of memories. You’re welcome 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers to us and to a lifetime more of love and laughter and eating so much our stomachs hurt. Random thoughts. So much to do but I just need to let out my thoughts. Apparently I felt social media was the right place to say it all. #dreams #soulsearching #grief #griefjourney #justliving by @mrs.finau

Thank you @tavake.oc for building our girls’ confidence . We are grateful. by @mrs.finau

Today was Kawailehua’s first show with @tavake.oc . Honestly we didn’t know if she was going to dance until the last minute because she was not having it. She didn’t want to take off her jacket and she kept going back and forth if she wanted to dance. Then she seen all her classmates and took the jacket off and said, “okay mom go” 🤣🤣 so proud of her. She was proud of herself too. After the show she told us, “I did so good.” 🤦🏻‍♀️. No shame. But what made it more special is her big sister Moanikeala was there to watch her. #tavakerereata #oritahiti #littledancer by @mrs.finau
