Making 180-degree turns and keeping our perspective sharp!
🔄 My Geometry Honors rockstars teamed up today to master 90°, 180°, and 270° counterclockwise rotations. Swipe to see them totally flipping their perspective (literally). 🧠✨

📊🔍 Function detectives at work!
Today, students participated in a Simultaneous RoundTable, collaborating in teams of four to analyze functions. Each student used a different color so every contribution was visible and every team member was accountable.
Students worked together to identify:
✅ Intercepts
✅ Domain & Range
✅ Increasing & Decreasing Intervals
✅ Positive & Negative Intervals
✅ End Behavior
Great mathematical discussions, teamwork, and problem-solving in action! 💙 #Algebra1 #Middleschoolmath #StudentCollaboration #KRK8 by @mrs_schweigert

👀Sneak Peak 👀Entrepreneurship groups started today and my group is working on loop and loom pot holders and coasters. Today was the first time many even saw a loom before and did really well! #middleschoolteacher #youngentrepreneurs by @mrs_schweigert

Honors Geometry really knew how to work all the angles today! 🕵️‍♂️📐Our students took a break from the desks for an epic scavenger hunt to review segment and angle theorems. 22 clues later, they are officially ready to crush their chapter test on Monday! 📝🔥#GeometryHonors #middleschoolmath by @mrs_schweigert

I will never forget exactly where I was on this day. ♥️🤍💙I was sitting in my World Religions class at SUNY Old Westbury when the news broke, and we were suddenly told the college was closing. I remember my professor telling us to go straight home, followed by sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Southern State Parkway, unable to reach loved ones because the cell networks were completely overloaded.Coming from a New York firefighter family, this day holds a deeply personal meaning for me. I will never forget the immense fear of that day, but more importantly, the incredible sacrifices made by so many brave individuals.Holding those memories close today, honoring the heroes, and remembering everyone we lost. ✨ #NeverForget #September11 #HonorAndRemember #FirstResponders by @mrs_schweigert

My middle school Algebra 1 Honors class put their inequality-solving skills to the test today! ➕✏️ Students completed a solve-around-the-room activity that unlocked a silly Mad Libs story one answer at a time. Lots of learning and plenty of laughs! 😂 #middleschoolmath by @mrs_schweigert

As I grade papers, I feel like my middle schoolers have no clue how to turn in quality work. I’m going to give each student one of these to go over to help improve the quality of graded assignments, so they know what’s expected. #middleschoolmath #mathteachersofinstagram by @mrs_schweigert
