Dopamine Dressing ❤️

Grief is a strange thing. One minute you’re just trying to get through the day, the next you’re searching for little pieces of yourself that feel lost.

Right now I’m in the middle of grieving the loss of my beautiful grandmother, and finding the words has been harder than I ever imagined.

This was when I met up with one of my best friends, put on my favourite tartan dress, and chose to feel like me. I wanted to feel pretty. I wanted to feel strong. I wanted to feel a little bit badass again.

It didn’t take the grief away, and it wasn’t about pretending everything was okay. But for a little while, it reminded me that I’m still here beneath all this heartbreak.

Sometimes getting dressed, seeing a friend, and allowing yourself to smile without guilt is enough. Healing isn’t about forgetting the people we love—it’s about learning to carry them with us while we keep living.

❤️🖤
