I dip in and out of the Blindboy's podcast, as I do with everything.

I swear though, that every time I dip back in, the right episode finds me with the right words for the never ending thoughts that I often wish I could switch off.

So, in case the algorithms have got you raging today, or indeed any day, here's a timely reminder that We. Are. All. Human.

Every single one of us is shaped by the systems and structures we live under and within.

Behaviour is always driven by something. Including the bad. That doesn't excuse, nor permit it.

Many truths can (and do) exist at the same time.

Black and white thinking on any of your worldly worries serves no-one but the people who revel in your outrage on any given subject.

Change comes from response, not reaction.

Took this photo whilst checking out my "serial killer" vibes during an afternoon drinking coffee, eating cake and laughing like fuck with some "bad ass women", as I was busy reminding them they are.

Have awoken this morning heavy and overwhelmed at the thought of one woman, of being that woman, and of every other woman who has been that woman.

Leaving it here as a reminder to myself, of them, and of every other bad ass woman trying to go about their day, reminded daily of the harms they've experienced, and the danger they face because they are a woman.

Speak to the women in your life. Listen to them.

And then take that conversation to your men folk.

Cause I'm tired.

Every once in a while I like to drive the bairn home or go and collect him from Perth. I take the back roads, they're prettier and it means I get an hour or so of his incessant chatter all to myself.

We talk about music and the state of the world and mostly I spend a *lot* of the time smiling big huge proud smiles at what a sensitive soul he is.

Astounded by his memory for the most complex detail in connecting every single song we ever listen to to another song/artist/film/place/whatever. His music brain is immense.

He's very prescious about his music collection. But he's currently 'complimenting' his vinyl collection by rebuilding his CD collection. Perhaps, full of care, is more accurate. Anyways, tonight he jumped in the van with a choice of two albums to listen to. Chuckled as I raved all the way home. Gets out and says "you can keep that for the van".

I don't receive gifts well. Mostly 'cause I'd much rather receive a perfectly apt "saw this and thought of you" on a random Wednesday than a generic something that's been marketed to the gifter at a particular time of year.

But, I cannot wait to have every single person who ever gets in the van moving forward, absolutely sick to the back teeth of listening to the same CD over and over again as I show off my present fae 'The Hormone'.
