If you’ve followed my journey you’ll understand how insane it is that the girl that started her business with a sewing machine on an ironing board in a room she shared with her sister in a tower block in Surrey Lane Battersea now has this as her shop front in prime Accra. Howww?!?!

It’s been a long 20 year journey but one God gets the glory for because wow.

I’ve wanted to give up probably a million times but I’m so glad I never did. 16 year old me would be so proud.

God gets the glory for this one always. It definitely hasn’t been my own strength.

Here’s to what lies ahead. Shining God colours always!

My prayer is that my journey would be an encouragement to someone even if it’s one person. No matter how hard it gets never give up what God has told you to continue ♥️ taken in Accra, Ghana by @mrsboadu

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be OF GOD and NOT of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” II Corinthians 4:7-10 NKJV

Here’s one of the things I keep reminding myself in this season: the scripture doesn’t say we won’t be hard-pressed, or perplexed, or struck down. It says we won’t be crushed by it, we won’t be left in despair, we won’t be forsaken, and we won’t be destroyed. If we belong to Him, that’s not just a nice verse, that’s His Word over our lives. And His Word is the truth.

Life will life, but God remains the same. I don’t ever want to depend on my own strength, because I have weak moments. But when I’m weak, He’s strong. And even when I’m strong, He’s much stronger. The power for that strength was never mine to begin with. So I’m choosing, again and again and again, to let my strength and joy come from Him. It’s not always easy, but I’ve told myself it’s not optional.

Yesterday I posted a clip about walking away from relationships the Godly way. But there’s a question I didn’t fully unpack in the clip, and I think it’s the more important one.

Why are you actually walking away?

Unforgiveness can be really sneaky. It will dress itself up as boundaries. It will call itself protecting your peace. And sometimes, if you’re honest, it’s just bitterness that hasn’t been named yet.

The more I study forgiveness, biblically and psychologically, one of my consistent findings is that forgiveness isn’t always reconciliation or staying in a relationship. But whether you leave or stay, forgiveness isn’t negotiable. Walking away still requires you to forgive. Not because the person who may have offended you earned it, but because carrying unforgiveness means we forfeit being forgiven by God according to scripture, and I don’t know about you, but that’s not something I’m willing to trade.

Forgive and forgive again and again and again if vou need to. But don’t give room for unforgiveness. It’s too toxic to host.

Check your heart, always. Especially before you check out of a relationship.

An excerpt from a Zoom prayer meeting I was invited to speak at this Sunday.🎙️

Instagram quotes will tell you to walk away for the most minimal things that can be fixed, that’s NOT what I’m referring to in this particular clip 🫠.

Sometimes it’s necessary to walk away from certain relationships. But as followers of Jesus, the heart with which we walk away matters maybe more than the walking away itself.

It should never come from a place of “I’m better than them.” That’s not the God way to do it.

Keep this front of mind: Jesus loves the person you’re walking away from just as much as He loves you (John 3:16) Whatever the circumstances are. Whatever they did. Whatever they did to hurt you.

If you have to walk away from a relationship (friendship, romantic relationship, work relationship etc), do it prayerfully. Do it with wisdom. Do it with God’s leading. Do it without an egocentric superiority you have no right to carry. 🙏🏾♥️

Grief has a way of making even the things you love feel far away for a season.
I’m not back to “normal”, and I’m not really sure there’s a normal to return to.
But I put this outfit on yesterday, and for a moment, I felt like a small piece of myself again.
Sometimes, finding your way back to yourself happens in the smallest moments, in creating, getting dressed, and simply showing up.

Here’s to finding our way back to the little things that make us feel like ourselves again.

We studied 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 this morning during Women That Pray (a weekly prayer meeting that I lead on Zoom by the grace of God) and it really got me thinking.

This scripture isn’t just poetic language. Paul is using war terms: Strongholds. Weapons. Taking captives.
He’s telling us our thoughts are a real battlefield, and some of what runs through our minds are enemy soldiers we’ve let walk right past the gate and break our defenses.
And as I studied it more I can see how our minds really work like a computer. It produces output from whatever input it’s given. So if we’re filling it with things that don’t line up with the knowledge of God, we shouldn’t be surprised when the output doesn’t either. This means what we watch, what we listen to, what we scroll, whatever we let sit in our head unchallenged, all of it matters more than we probably like to admit.

Sometimes the designer has to be the one who takes the risk 🤍
This one pushed me outside my own comfort zone: velvet, a dramatic ruffled shoulder, texture and drama I don’t reach for often.
But underneath all of that, it’s still exactly me. Clean lines, a silhouette that moves with the body instead of fighting it.
Created in 2023, and still one of those pieces that feels like a modern classic, the kind that doesn’t age at all.
It’s one of my absolute favourites, not just because of how it turned out, but because of what it took to make it.

It was such an honor to meet some incredible people at the last vision master class. My first time meeting Sarah and in the room she carried that quiet but powerful aura that cannot be missed.
