Flyfishing in ALASKA!!! We fished in Icy Straight with our boys! The river was beautiful, like a rainforest! In this video Pat had just caught a fish and I was taking a video of him and then at the same time I caught one. Such a funny memory!

Lost Sierra Ranch - Graeagle CA. Tricky little spot to get to but we went back for our second time as our oldest now has friends that want to fish more✔️
This property is currently for sale and only had a few of the homes listed . Before we had the rent the entire ranch so this was much easier.
There is a main house that has all the amenities and clean but not really updated. The River Cabins were great but sort of same situation. So - rustic nice.
We don’t care as much about that as we do the fish.

The fishing was fun! Not huge but fun. I found a little pocket right outside of the river cabins that bit in my dry flies all day long . Anything small with a little pink worked. The rocks were SO slippery . My boots were no help. Definitely need a walking stick. We used our paddle board as “boats “ to get us into the river . Very helpful and no one broke ankles.
Ponds weren’t great. We got 1 real big guy over 3 days. Would be fun to float out there. Also unsure if they were stocked .

Fast water fly fishing - there is a monster in the rapids behind the main house near the rock beach. I caught him and he broke himself and took my giant green wooly.

The kids could paddle board and could float to the river cabins and come right back up, Little rapids but all good.

Best part of this trip is you are in nature. The property is amazing. It’s quiet except when the train rolls through along the river!! You can’t find this very often in Ca!
I pray whoever buys it will make it a place people can rent to fish-
Or/also an animal sanctuary. Because it’s so pretty, barn oriented and relaxing. Ahh to be a horse there would be a dream ❤️

2025 July- Cracked the code in the High Sierras at Skelton Lake and McLeod Lakes! Beautiful cutthroat trout with bright pink colors - all on dry flies! Hiked in and were able to fish the entire day. Kids catching on dry flies and even got my friend Rachel to finally give it a go! Best days!

Our days fishing the Provo . Early in the season and not tons of luck but we had the right flies and right gear and hey…sometimes it’s just too early!! Caught a few but heck it was HARD. We were able to have some beautiful days as a family by the river , pray for my Dad , and feel disconnected from all the things. So blessed in this life. And have the BEST people to share it with. Without my Dad, I would have never known this experience and likely would never have done it. And because of him…it’s part of our life. How lucky.
