🎈💙 Happy 5th Birthday to my sweet Hans! 💙🎈

Five years ago, you came into our lives and somehow made everything louder, sillier, sweeter, and so much more fun. 😂

You are incredibly smart, endlessly funny, and have the biggest, most loving heart. You make us laugh every single day with the things you say and the way you see the world. You’re curious, determined, affectionate, and completely YOU, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about you.

Watching you grow from my little baby into this amazing five-year-old has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’m so proud of the little person you are becoming, and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things that are ahead for you.

Keep being curious. Keep making us laugh. Keep loving BIG. And please, for the love of all things holy, slow down a little because Mama isn’t ready for you to be FIVE. 😭😂

I vote because one day these little humans will inherit the world we’re shaping today.

No matter where you fall politically, voting is one of the most direct ways we participate in our communities.

A quick PSA because I’ve seen a lot of confusion this week:

Primary elections are NOT “red vs. blue.”

Primaries are how each political party chooses its own candidate for the general election. Think of them as the party’s “qualifying round.” If you’re a Republican, you’re choosing which Republican you believe should represent your party. If you’re a Democrat, you’re choosing which Democrat should represent yours. (The exact rules vary by state because some states have open primaries and others have closed or semi-open primaries.) The “red vs. blue” decision comes later in the general election, when voters choose among the nominees from the different parties. (USAGov)

So if someone tries to turn a conversation about a primary into “our party versus their party,” it’s worth remembering that primaries are actually about deciding who best represents your own party’s values and priorities—not about competing against the other party.

And yes, your vote matters.

Many local races, and even some state and federal primaries, have been decided by just a handful of votes. Primaries also determine who appears on the general election ballot, meaning they can shape the choices everyone has in November. (U.S. Election Assistance Commission)

You don’t have to agree with your neighbors.
You don’t have to agree with me.
But I hope we can all agree that an informed voter is a stronger voter.

So before you share a meme, share a fact.
Before you argue, learn how the election you’re voting in actually works.
And before you decide your vote doesn’t count, remember: every election is made up of individual votes, one ballot at a time.

This isn’t about voting red or voting blue.

It’s about understanding the process, participating in it, and teaching the next generation that democracy works best when informed citizens show up.

Tomorrow marks 250 years since the founding of the United States.

Like many people, I have complicated feelings.

Our history is filled with extraordinary courage and extraordinary injustice. We can’t celebrate this country honestly without acknowledging the people who were here first, the generations who were enslaved, and the many voices that fought, and are still fighting, to make America live up to its own ideals.

But this past month, something beautiful reminded me of what America can be.

Watching fans from around the world gather for the World Cup has been a reminder that our country is so much bigger than any administration, any election, or any single moment in history.

America isn’t defined by one person in power.

It’s the family that came here generations ago. It’s the neighbor who arrived last year. It’s the small business owner chasing a dream. It’s the teacher, the farmer, the artist, the nurse, the veteran, the refugee, the chef, the kid wearing another country’s jersey while making friends with someone they’ve never met.

We have always been a nation shaped by immigrants, cultures, traditions, languages, and people who believed that different doesn’t have to mean divided.

That’s the America I love.

The one where we share meals before opinions. Where music, food, sports, and kindness remind us that our common humanity matters more than the labels we’re given.

If tomorrow feels complicated for you, you’re not alone.

But I’m choosing to celebrate the people, not perfection. The possibility, not the politics. The hope that we can keep building a country that welcomes, includes, and cares for one another.

Because we are never just our government.

We are each other.

And together, we’re stronger than fear, stronger than hate, and stronger than anything that tries to convince us otherwise.

This week is one of my favorite weeks of the year.

We started it celebrating Ty’s birthday on June 15th and ended it celebrating Father’s Day—two opportunities to honor a man who rarely asks for recognition but deserves every bit of it.

If you’ve ever met my husband, you know he’s the kind of person who quietly carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He’s the steady hand, the calm voice, the safe place. The one working behind the scenes, making sure our family is cared for, protected, and loved.

Watching him be a father has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Ty didn’t have the easiest childhood, which makes the father he has become even more remarkable. He chose to break cycles. He chose to become the kind of dad every child deserves. Watching him love Hunter, Hans, and Hermione with patience, strength, kindness, and unwavering support leaves me in awe every single day. He is an incredible bonus dad, a devoted father, and the foundation our family stands on.

Six years ago, we fell in love while working side by side. We built a relationship through long days, hard work, big dreams, and a lot of faith. Today, we’re still building together—raising a family, growing Jewell’s Jamzz, launching Mr. Jamzz, and chasing goals that sometimes feel bigger than us. Through every challenge, every late night, every farmers market, every event, and every crazy business idea, he’s been right there beside me.

I fall more in love with him every day.

Thank you for believing in me when I don’t believe in myself. Thank you for supporting my dreams while building your own. Thank you for showing our children what integrity, hard work, and unconditional love look like. Thank you for being our strength, our security, and our home.

We are so incredibly blessed to have you.

Happy Birthday and Happy Father’s Day to the man who makes all of this possible. I wouldn’t want to build this life, this family, or these businesses with anyone else.
