POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Some lessons in life come with experience, but I wish I had learned certain things much earlier. ❤️

As women, we have stories to tell, lessons to share, and a generation to inspire.

💬 If you could sit down with your younger self today, what is that one piece of advice you would give her?

I'd love to read your thoughts. ❤️

Keep trusting in God. 🤍

Even when the answers seem delayed, even when the journey feels uncertain, God is still working behind the scenes.

Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep moving forward. His timing is perfect, and His strength will carry you through every waiting season. 🙏🏽🦅
Trust God, even when you cannot see what He is doing.

A little lesson in culture, respect and identity. 🤍❤️🖤
I was teaching my children how to greet properly in Lozi and reminding them about the beauty of our mwambo — our customs, traditions and way of life.

For their Culture Day, we represented both sides of their heritage ! Lozi from mummy and Igbo from daddy. Our gowns were inspired by Lozi traditional dressing, with beautiful Igbo details incorporated into the design to celebrate the two cultures coming together.

For me, this is more than dressing up. It is about teaching our children to know where they come from, respect their traditions and proudly carry their heritage wherever they go. ❤️

Two cultures. One family. One beautiful heritage.
How are you teaching your children about their culture and traditions?

EMBRACING MY LOZI HERITAGE 🤍❤️🖤
Have you ever reached a stage in life where you began appreciating something about yourself that you didn’t fully appreciate when you were younger?
For me, that has been my Lozi heritage.
Growing up, I sometimes heard hurtful stereotypes about Lozi people — that we were stingy, greedy or bad-hearted. And when you hear things like that as a child, sometimes they stay with you longer than you realise.
I also left Zambia when I was very young, so unfortunately I never learnt to speak Lozi.
Yet even my name — Katungu — carries that connection to where I come from. And as I have grown older, that has begun to mean more to me.
Travelling to India, China and France, and also experiencing Nigerian culture closely, changed the way I looked at my own heritage.
Have you ever reached a stage in life where you started appreciating something about yourself that you didn’t fully appreciate when you were younger?
For me, that has been my Lozi heritage.
Growing up, I sometimes heard hurtful stereotypes about Lozi people ,
that we were stingy, greedy or bad-hearted.
When you hear these things as a child, sometimes they stay with you longer than you realise.

I also left Zambia when I was very young, so unfortunately I never learnt to speak Lozi.

But growing older and travelling to India, China and France, as well as experiencing Nigerian culture closely, changed something in me. Seeing people celebrate their language, food, clothing and traditions made me ask myself:

What about my own heritage? How much do I really know about where I come from?

And that question has made me want to learn more.
I may not speak Lozi today, but I can still learn, honour my roots and teach my children to appreciate where we come from.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

God created us with our different backgrounds, histories and cultures, and I believe there is beauty in appreciating yours while respecting everyone else’s.
So this is me, Mrs Katungu Mulemwa Jerry, embracing my Lozi heritage. 🤍❤️🖤

Happiness is a choice, and so is so much of what shapes our lives. 🌷

You may not choose every situation, but you can choose what that situation produces in you.

Choose dignity over desperation.
Choose peace over chaos.
Choose growth over comfort.
Choose discipline over excuses.
Choose gratitude over entitlement.
Choose boundaries over people-pleasing.
Choose wisdom over impulse.
Choose God over everything.

Your choices are building your character, shaping your future, and determining the woman you are becoming.

Every choice is taking you somewhere.
So choose wisely.

🌷 When Small Steps Become Testimonies

Some journeys teach us to celebrate what the world may call small.

A word. A sentence. A number written. A step towards independence. To us, these are not little things—they are testimonies of progress, perseverance, prayer and grace.

We will keep seeking support, doing the work, and trusting God through every season. 🙏🏾
To every parent still waiting for a breakthrough: do not despise the days of small beginnings. God is with you in the waiting, too.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
🌷 Different children. Different journeys. Same faithful God.

We pray for long life, and with it comes change. 🌷

If God blesses us with many years, our faces and bodies will change — and that is okay.

Take care of yourself. Enjoy your beauty and femininity, but never let youth define your worth.

May the years make us wiser, kinder, more gracious and closer to God.

“Beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30

What a blessing. She lived. ❤️

From 86kg to 72kg

Celebrate the little wins. Wear that outfit. Take the picture. Smile a little wider. 💃🏾❤️
Not because you suddenly became worthy but because sometimes progress reminds you to appreciate the woman who has been there all along.
To every woman working on herself: give yourself grace, trust the process, keep your faith, and celebrate your progress.
God is still working on you inside and out. 🤍

One thing I wish I understood before I got married…

You don't start becoming a wife on your wedding day. You prepare to be a wife long before you become one.

There are things I had to learn during marriage that I wish I had been taught before marriage. And now, as a mother of one boy and three girls, I see even more clearly why these conversations matter.

To every single woman, don't just prepare for the wedding. Prepare yourself. Prepare your character, your heart, your values, your relationship with God, and the kind of woman you desire to become.

And to us as mothers, let's be intentional about what we teach our children. Let's raise our daughters with wisdom and prepare our sons to understand, respect, love, and value godly women.

What we teach them today can shape the homes they build tomorrow. ❤️

Watch the video, and let's talk about it.

Motherhood is more than giving birth ,it's answering God's call to raise children with love, wisdom, and His truth.
Before every title, ambition, or achievement, our greatest ministry is the hearts of the children God has entrusted to us.
