Loving you is the easiest thing I have ever done.

Not in a “we never fight and we always agree and things are so simple and perfect all the time” kind of way. But in a “I trust that we will always value the opinion of one another - even when we are mad - and when conflict arises we will make sure to find a solution that works for both of us” kind of way. The kind of way that understands that a partnership doesn’t always mean 50/50. The kind of way that reminds you that we are on the “same team” when things feel overwhelming.

I have loved you for over half of my life and I cannot imagine a world in which I don’t. You remind me everyday how special our love is. You love without expectation. You show up for the people I love, just because I love them. You ask questions. You grow. You adapt. Your steady presence in my life has allowed me to leap, even when I was afraid. You ground me. And you also jump with me. You are my best friend.

Through every season, I have chosen you. Choosing you is easy because you make it easy. Sixteen years of marriage is no small feat, and yet I always knew we would get here. Happy anniversary, Tyler.

It didn’t feel right to celebrate freedom yesterday while so many rights are being stripped away. But after a heavy week, we chose joy anyway as our act of resistance. We spent the day unplugged and with our besties — because choosing each other, showing up with love, and building joy on our own terms is our kind of independence. by @mrsmanfella

15 years of being married to you and I would still choose you every time.

You have loved me fully and completely. You have held me through grief and heartache. You have supported and encouraged me to achieve my goals. You have been my best friend for well over half my life.

I cannot imagine this life without you. 15 years has me feeling some type a way because it feels like a very long time and also just a blip. But when you decide on forever like we did, it feels just perfect to be here with you now.
