I love my daughters so much. I truly pray they surpass me in every aspect of life. That’s the goal.

My middle child is a trip. She told me a boy had a crush on her last week and she laid out every reason she didn’t have a crush on him directly to him. When I asked if she thinks she went too hard on him, she simply said, “Boys need women to show them that this is what we like and this is what we don’t like. I needed to be super firm with him so that other boys could see I don’t want anyone to have a crush on me right now. I’m too young for boys!”

In fact, I just might just let her come on here herself and tell her own story and her justification for going so hard on this poor kid 😂 But, she’s not wrong. Sometimes we do need to go hard to let people know.

I would have never had the courage to strongly articulate myself and given a firm NO to anyone at 7 years old. She’s tough, but she’s still so soft inside. She has gumption and is more self assured at 7 years old than I ever was at 21 years old…that’s just facts. And I love that about her.

My youngest expresses herself well too, just without all the extra sass that my middle one does😝

It’s no special occasion for us.

Life has just been lifing.
