There is no me without her. I might have come first but I’ve spent the last 28 years chasing your coattails of kindness, compassion and drive. You are the better half to this duo and thank god I only had to experience this world for 7 minutes without you. Marti is a whirlwind of love and joy. Her excitement for life is palpable and her devotion to friendship is unmatched. Every good relationship I have is built on the lessons I’ve learned from her on how to be a good person. She has saved me both literally and figuratively from the consequences of my mistakes and done so with so much humility I only hear about it sometimes. First marathon in the books!Thanks to my parents for cheering me on fighting for me to be able to have a chance at running!! @carolinelahti for running around the city and tracking me during training!!@macipike for running the half so I would not have to be alone @maximumrunning for answering SO! Many questions even if they were stupid!@gweaver43 the most for listening to me complaining and biking beside me for so many long runs, for encouragement on hard days and honestly making so many sacrifices so I could fit running into my schedule!! 😘NYC next!! by @mrt.jpeg
