Victorian Psycho (2026)   Madness becomes her.   In 1858, an eccentric young governess, Winifred Notty, arrives at the remote gothic manor Ensor House. As Winifred assimilates, staff begin to inexplicably disappear, and the owners wonder if something is amiss about this new governess.   Official key art for Zachary Wigon’s upcoming film Victorian Psycho @victorianpsychoofficial . Bugonia (2025) It all starts with something magnificent. Driven by a desperate obsession with unraveling hidden truths, two men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth. What begins as a misguided crusade to expose a cosmic threat rapidly spirals into a tense, unraveling psychological nightmare as the boundaries between delusion, control, and reality completely fracture. I forged this scene where the two leads confront each other in the starry void, redrawing their clothing and stripping away gravity to create a sense of weightless suspended motion. The resulting composition captures the film’s deliberate ambiguity, leaving the exact nature of their connection, whether captor and captive or allies and adversaries, elusive until the final scene. Obsession (2026) Love is but a pretext.   Driven by a desperate fear of rejection, Bear uses a supernatural wish to force a romantic bond with his close friend Nikki, overriding her true feelings to gain control. What begins as a self-serving attempt at affection rapidly twists into a violent, possessive horror as a sinister entity takes hold—transforming her devotion into a dangerous compulsion.   Inspired by the dark irony of manipulation hidden beneath a sweet facade, the minimal artwork contrasts romantic warmth with psychological dread. The title is integrated directly as a gold pendant—a literal visual metaphor of control and total obedience that marks the erasure of Nikki’s true self—while subtle details, like a single tear falling against her smile, build a nightmarish atmosphere.   Alternative film poster design by @mrtheodorepeng. @obsessionthemovie is a 2026 film directed by @curry.barker #Obsession #AlternativeFilmPoster #FilmPosterDesign #MoviePoster #GraphicDesign taken in London, United Kingdom by @mrtheodorepeng

The Wonder (2022) Faith is A Quiet Blade. In 1862, an English nurse is summoned to an isolated Irish village to observe an eleven-year-old girl who claims to survive without food on “manna from heaven.” As the child’s health deteriorates, clinical logic collides with religious conviction, turning a pious community into a tense psychological battleground. Inspired by the pivotal house-burning scene from the film, I painted the artwork over Andrew Wyeth’s iconic 1948 masterpiece ‘Christina’s World’. Through a stark day-to-night colour shift and treatment, the piece transforms the landscape into the bleak, unforgiving scenery of the Irish midlands horizon. The film draws a brilliant cinematic parallel to the painting; here, the sitter stumbles in the grass, struggling to get up while looking back at the scorching house. A Brighter Summer Day (1991) 牯嶺街少年殺人事件 The world stands still. 「這個世界是不會變的」 Hailed as a cornerstone of the New Taiwanese Cinema movement, Edward Yang’s four-hour epic is a permanent fixture in the Sight & Sound top 100. The masterpiece chronicles a restless generation of teenagers caught in socio-political limbo after fleeing mainland China. Seeking identity through street gangs and American rock-and-roll, their lives mirror a fracturing society—a sprawling yet intimate journey into tragedy.   Here is my poster for Edward Yang’s cinematic epic. The design explores hierarchy and polarisation, serving as a visual metaphor for toxic masculinity and power versus vulnerability. Standing lower, Ming’s bandaged knees symbolise her fragile position and the emotional toll of her environment. Meanwhile, Si’ir stands a tad higher, his Chuck Taylor trainers capturing the era’s teenage obsession with American culture. The directional composition draws the eye from bright sunshine at the edge toward the characters, before everything submerges into a melancholic adolescent blue. It is a bittersweet, tranquil moment before the storm, encapsulating both fleeting happiness and inevitable tragedy. Gladiator II (2024)   Reclaim the sacrifice.   Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius is forced into the Colosseum after his home is conquered by tyrannical Emperors who lead Rome with an iron fist. The film is a sweeping exploration of legacy and ruin—a tragic journey of a son’s path to vengeance in a crumbling empire.   Here is my poster for Ridley Scott’s epic sequel. I wanted to explore a “what if” scenario: if Lucius were a documented historical figure, how would his legacy be carved into stone? By blurring the line between ancient artifact and cinematic figure, the design forges a fictional character into a tangible hero of antiquity. The Silence of the Lambs (1991)   Fear is an acquired taste.   Clarice Starling, a young F.B.I. cadet, must confide in an incarcerated and manipulative killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to receive his help in catching another serial killer who skins his victims. Jonathan Demme’s masterpiece remains the definitive psychological thriller—a clinical exploration of the monsters we face and the ones we feed.   Here’s my procreate illustration for one of my favourite films of all time. The poster places the viewer behind the reinforced glass of a visitation cell, transforming a physical barrier into a graphic pattern. By using the glass’s ventilation holes to fragment Lecter’s features, the image captures a predatory gaze that is both trapped and pervasive—a clinical intrusion into the space between the observer and the observed.   Procreate Illustration, alternative film poster design by @mrtheodorepeng.    #filmposter #filmposterdesign #alternativefilmposter #graphicdesign #thesilenceofthelambs taken in London, United Kingdom by @mrtheodorepeng

Robot Dreams (2023) Oil on canvas, 8x10inch Dog, a lonely New Yorker built a robot companion. Their friendship blooms into something tender and deeply human—until a summer day at the beach changes everything. I aim to capture the day they spent at the beach—sun, sea, and the sheer happiness of being together, until time gently shifted their paths. I chose to separate the moment across two canvases, where Dog and Robot inhabit different worlds, yet they remain side by side, suspended in time. A diptych of almost, could have, and what if. Dedicated to a beautiful friendship and a poignant farewell. 🐶🤖 #robotdreams #oiloncanvas #art #oilpaintings taken in London, United Kingdom by @mrtheodorepeng

Close (2022) It never stops. Leo and Remi are thirteen-year-old best friends whose seemingly unbreakable bond is suddenly, tragically torn apart. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Lukas Dhont’s second film is an emotionally transformative portrait of friendship and love, identity and independence, heartbreak and healing. The poster captures the moment after closeness, using depth of field to register emotional distance. The boys remain physically near, yet the connection has already altered and irreversible. Rather than showing loss itself, the image lingers in its aftermath, where grief settles quietly and refuses to leave. Hence the tagline: ‘It never stops,’ a line that stays, just like Leo’s gaze—tender, insistent, and everlasting. Alternative film poster design by @mrtheodorepeng.
