It became so much more than just a game.
I learned to find the beauty in everything that comes with it, celebrating the big wins, weathering the tough losses, the day in and day out grind, meeting strangers that became family, and everything in between.
In sports, sometimes things don’t go your way… but I’d dare and dare again to compete at the highest level, even if it meant falling short.
Because the game will always give me more than I could ever give to it.
I gave this game everything I had, and I’d do it all over again.
Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of my journey. by @mrubino14
